Thread: Advise for Crafting XP

I just became an engineer and I beginning to start the climb in the Architect field.
My question is what is the best way to gain crafting XP in Architect tree?
I have crept up the latter thus far, but 33,000 crafting experience is far from 6,000 required for Enginnering IV.
I've noticed smoe are shooting up the ranks quickly, so there has to be a trick I'm missing.
I also have read the posts and faq's that state crafting specific items give tons of points, and I have somewhat done that, but still I'm missing something.
I, so far, haven't been blessed with many uxp nor much xp from experimentation, though maybe I haven't been paying the attention I think I have been,.

I have found crafting items under deeds give structural XP, but do they give sufficient amounts of crafting XP?

Bone Armor, I have found, gives good XP, but is pain in rear to get materials, at least it was during Engineering III stage.

One more question, sine I have been toiling this delima in my head for a while I have come to a weak conclusion that the only way I get the points in a timely manner is to build resource machines and then only craft the few high xp making products. Is my theory correct, or is factory usage the key?

Thank you for any time and responses regarding this post!

Grind chemical survey devices in practice mode until your head explodes (you can use just one big pile of metal).

Crafting Kits and Survey equipment is what I was grinding with to get where I am currently at, yet making around a thousand of those doesn't seem fun.

I wantd other opinionson issue so I wouldn't spend time and go crazy making 400 survey tools, and then find out later there was a few things I could make that gave 200 or so XP while at same time doesn't require three times as long to find resources.

Thank you for input!

Thought that the devs made it so everything now gave 2 exp / resource?

Factory useage WAS the key at one time. A RL friend of mine started me out in architect. He gave me a structure factory, and I gave him admin rights on the factory. He would go put in the schematic and give me the materials to put in the factory for him. I got 100% free architect exp, and he gained 2 lots for more harvesters. Sadly, I only gained 2 blocks in furniture before they nerfed factory experience from 100% of whatyou get by hand-crafting an item, down to 10%. If you have a ton of resources and can afford the time delays, you could still do it this way I suppose, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Best way is to put up as many personal harvesters as you can afford to maintain, 2 minerals per chemical, and make crafting tools. The structure tools work well for a grind product.

Also, don't overlook UXP. Make yourself 50 items to keep with you at all times. Sell survey tools on the bazaar. Then when you have lots of things out there being used (used = in someone's possession), you are getting GC exp just for being logged in. Just be aware that you can't collect UXP in a city.

UXP is Usage XP. which means that you gain a small amount of xp when anyone is using something you made.

Personally I have only seen my xp go up when I use the stuff myself. Someone said that to get UXP you need to sell the item to them. Trading it for free wouldn't work.

Dont know if this is true tho.
