What is the format when using hex codes to name a house?

Thanks in advance.

\#ff0000\Ruprechts house of delight

and that would make it red

:-)

That's all & it works.
Im not sure if you can insert other colours within but im pretty sure you can
ie:
\#ff0000\Ruprechts \#000000\house \#ff0000\of delight

Would make it red, black for house, & red again

Cool, I was wondering how people changed the colour. Could soemone list what the Hex codes are for all the different colours? Or is it just red and black.

In case you didnt know, you can use these on furniture and other craftables as well.. I sell my furniture on the bazaar way better because I can add the color to it.. Furthermore, in my own house I am changing all my furniture to have a black name so I dont see a bunch of furniture titles when I walk through my house..

It takes a little more time to label it, but I can actually sell it for more on the bazaar and it moves..

Also, I label my power, mineral, chemical, housing waypoints different colors as well.. easier to spot on the datapad amidst the 30 other waypoints..

PS.. avoid red in titles of harvesters or houses.. it scares the customers.. they get red text flashing up as they run toward their house.. they turn and run before reading it..

Red text in house names...

Actually a large retail company that I worked for several years ago did some research over a year or so and found that the color red is instantly seen by the human eye and is therefore the best color to use on price stickers...not quite sure how much it cost them to figure that one out but...since I changed my shop name color to all Red I get ALOT more people noticing it...not really anymore sales, most of those come from my listing on the planetary map anyway but I do get alot more notice.

It has more to do with the contrast of colors, than with the color itself. If you have a red house, red text wouldn't be very readable against it. Try and pick a color that contrasts well against your house color.

As an example, street signs in the US are certain colors for particular reasons. Most information signs, such as "curve ahead", "pedestrian crossing", etc. are black text on a yellow background, for contrast purposes. Also, construction signs are blaze orange, because that color is most apt to grab the attention of the human eye.

You can also change any packs you carry to different colors using the same method. You can change your chat text as well but it reverts to normal after a few lines.
