The only way to raise items higher than floor level is using a house with stairs. You drop the item on the stairs at the height you want them to end up, then use the /move commands to place it. It will not let you cross room boundaries while moving objects though. You can check a room's boundary by turning you light on and off, whatever lights up is where you can move in the current room.
