I was told that there is a way to transfer ownership of a house without re-deeding it. Does anyone know how to do this? I have a friend that is out of town and I purchased a house for him and want to put it in by mine before someone else builds there but I don't want to use up 4 of my slots.

I heard this does not actually work (like many things). Can you confirm it does? Does the other person have to Accept the transfer?

When I try this it tells me the target must be a player?

For a structure you can go into, the person must be inside with you...target them and type /transferstructure. If it is something like a harv or factory, they just need to be nearby (range unknown) and type the magic words. I've never done it with just text...always with targeting.

Take the person into the house with you. then type

/transferstructure <NAME>

Where name is the name of the person you are transfering too. Always works for me. Note there is a space between the command and the name

Ok, I've only tried this once, and on a small nabooian house, but...

I did successfully tranfers ownership of the small house to another person by type /transferstructure <person's firstname>. This person was not in the house at the time, was not targetted, and infact was not even online (go figure).

OK, I attempted this last night and it did not work. It gave me a message about "the target must be a character" or something like that which makes me thing the new owner needs to be there to transfer it to him but that it should then work. I attempted it both with and without having the management terminal selected.
