City Structures are a NEW item.. All though i dont think they should be priced insanely... they also shouldnt be given away..

in my opinion city halls should sell for at LEAST 500k think about it.. there are over 220 componants that have to be made... they are NEW .. and everyone needs one if they are going to build a city... there is no need for arcs to drop there pants and get teh vasaline... there is plenty of business for everyone so lets at least price things what they are worth...

I expect over 80% of all these structures will be made by the resident architects of the PA's founding the cities. Essentially, they will indeed be given away.

well of course it is different if a guild has worked to gether and gathered the resources.. and it is for their own city,.,, it doesnt take much to know that wasnt what i was talking about...

It also does not take much to realise that city structures are not going to be some kind of hot architect item either. Houses for combat classes that want to join a city... yes.... cantinas... maybe a few.... but base city building... very little market at all.

I'll probably ask 1 mill for a city hall if anyone inquires about one simply because I'd rather not have to mess with it at all. I'll be far too busy playing with harvesters

I would probably go the other way, if someone actaully asked ( which I do not expect ) I would probably give it away as an opening of a contract to build all other city buildings for them.

But think aobut it 10 cities on Tatoine, and if 80% ( as I expect ) are built by a resident architect in a PA that leaves 2 City Halls for all the architects on Tatoine to fight over. That is not a market, that is a joke.

yep, with the limits on cities on planets any market for city halls just completely disappeared... i still think the player owned buildings may have a small market and there may be some requests for a few gardens and such, but overall, any basic buildings that there was a chance of building was all but destroyed with the limits placed on the number of cities on the big 3.

You guys are all missing the point.. i almost want to ask if u are sepyon.. anyway there is more to this patch than city hall.. i said that one as an example.. and i dont know how it is on your server.. but i have gotten several requests to make them... and who knows maybe ure server has arc.s that practice fair market value... Yes i do know that u can never get rid of the few that will always undercut..

and if i am reading correctly some of these items are available for non city too.. ie merchant tents..

all i know is on my server.. u can sell your resources.. for more than deeds... and when you get peeps that want to cut those prices in half .. it gets frustrating... especially when most of these peeps are 6-7 account users.. and do it cuz money means nothing to them.. and like pissing peeps off

who knows maybe it is hard for u to understand the point becuz you are one of these peeps i am talking about on your server... u do regirgitate the same retirect they do..

i have not idea who that was directed to.... if me, i have no idea why.... with the reduction in cities there is little chance if you didn't get a prepatch request you will sell any of the city halls...

as far as other items, as i said, there may be a small market for them, but if the "private city" people get their way you won't have much call unless you managed to get into the city to begin with. sorry... separate rant...

anyways... I've never been "an undercutter", if anything i charge a little more than most of the market in my area cuz i don't want to get overrun with business. this way i still get a steady business without feeling like I have to work too hard and I can still do the things i enjoy like interior designs.

If you make sales, I'm glad for you, I just don't see this as an economic boost to the majority of the people in the profession.

Actually it is you that is missing the point, but that point is about to be made very soon. There will be an increase in business ( very short lived ) becasue of player cities, but it wont be for town halls and banks and other city buildings.

There will be increased business for houses and merchant tents and those kinds of items, but I am not about to raise my prices. My character has made over 4 million cr in 7 weeks using his stratagy og selling for less than the going rate, I see no reason to change it.

heh no pop.. u actually posted that while i was typing.. and i heard a rumor supposedly passed to a friend from a realiable source that it is the rank 4 cities that are being limited.. so there will be more of the lower rank.. yes its just a rumor but will be nice if it is true
