Thread: Thats Right...
Well I have some ideas that have been brought up on the SquadLeader boards. They aren't mine, I wish they were though as they are rather good ones.
Bunkers for SquadLeaders to place during PvP,
Wall to place for instant Fortifcations during Combat or simply so we can channel the enemy thru a setpath under heavy fire all the time, at the bases.
Perhaps you Correspondant will get a better responce than all of our Correspondants since they started out. (Nothing for a response for us so far, especially on the top 5 lists or Sate of the Profession Reports that are sent to the Devs)
I'll also post on the WeaponSmith Board about another idea that going around.

Cool! I actually postulated this very thought, an hour ago, on this very board! ( I guess it was a good idea and not sleep deprivation
)
I like this idea, along with the fact that such structures could be damaged/destroyed in combat. It would give Architects something to build, as a consumable, without changing any other deed in the game. Multiple requests could be answered this way.

I would also have to agree, its a consummable product which means a renewable customer base, the only problem would be how often a pvp battle ensues where a squad leader would need or want to place one of these structures.
How often it would be used huh?
About as often as I could afford it, I've been in a lot more PvP battle lately. Got a lot of my friends in them to, get invites all the time now that the war is heating up on Tat and Naboo and Dant instead of just Talus.
Ive met several SquadLeaders out there that are into PvP a lot. They would buy these and then use them for Area Denial and then place either Sqaudweapons (If they make them anyways) or Commandos.
Would make attacking a base a lot hard to accomplish thats for certain. Now if you get 4 or 5 good fighters in side the base they can hold it pretty much indefinately once the other players are out of there. With these ideas it would be a lot more dificult to get into the base in the first place.

Yea, Destroyable walls!
How about we get the ability to make Turrets too? I mean sure, turrets can be purchased with FP, but Weaponsmiths wan make mines, and these are used for Faction only.
And if we have destroyable walls, we need destroyable Door and Arches too ![]()
This isa great idea - the "bunker" could be for members of a group, or members of a faction, and the players inside the bunker would take none, or greatly reduced damage while inside.
However, as someone would scream that this is unfair during PvP, givecommando's a "demo charge" to blow the bunker, giving a sizable amount of damage to those inside.
This way the damage reduction would be balanced by the commando's ability to do massive damage to those inside.
This is a great idea for architects.
When the game first came out I remember hearing architech being toted as a vital member of the battlefield as the architech would be able to craft bunkers, turrets, walls, ect.. ect.. I completly agree that they should bring this back in. While they are at it, player cities should be able to have the paved streets and other features of the fixed cities. Perhaps not placed by architechs, but for instance, the paved streets could auto spawn anyplace there is a cluster of houses on a flat spot. Basically all it would require would be a texture change to the ground around buildings, and it would make the towns look a lot more like towns.
