I apologize if this has already been posted, but this idea just popped into my head and it seemed like it could possibly be a good idea. I am a droid engineer, and our prof has a lot of ideas that seem really cool, but none of them ever get implemented, so hopefully this one will get read.

Being a merchant (4443), I thought of an idea to add some function to the Architect crafted items called Data Terminals. Unless something has changed, this item does not have any use at all, but from what I understand is that it takes components that make it seem like it should have a use, such as some of the MA crafted items. My idea is that if a DataTerminal is placed in a house, It should be able to record Merchant Data, in a format like: Item sold, person who bought it, the price it was sold at, and the date and time it was sold. I think this would add a nice usefullness to an item that currently has none. I would like to have one of these in my house, partly because they look interesting, but I currently do not see that it would be worth it just to have it sit there and do nothing.

I hope that this idea will be heard, because I think this would make it much easier for Merchants to keep information on clients and princing ect, and would be another good item for Architects to sell. I guess it could be similar to the ballot box terminal, except it would store information on merchants and would probably accually be used.

Does anyone agree with me that this would be an idea? I know most arch are almost always merchants of some level as well, so they can sell there goods, and I would like this idea to be heard by the DEVs, and architects and merchants as well.

Thanks
