Bout to start my first run of heavy min. harvestors. Running a batch of Ore Mining Units. I got my OMUs to 95%, so i thinkg that is good enough to get some 13 Extraction rate Heavies.

My question is, do the generator turbines (requires 2 identical) need to be experimented too? Or, do these not matter in the final product in terms of improving the exctraction rates?

thanks

P.S. if this is written somewhere else, take it easy on me

Generator Turbine % do not effect the final combine.

Ok, thanks Dandrik

So, to make max extraction rate harvestorsI need to experiment on:

Deep Crust Chems. ; Heavy Gas; High Moisture >>>>>>>>>> Turbo Fluidic Pumps

Heavy Mineral >>>>>>>>>>> Ore Mining Units

Fusion Generators >>>>>>>> Ore Mining Units & Manufacturing Mechs.

High Capacity Flora >>>>>>>> Heavy Harvestor Mechs.

as well as the final combine and nothing else. Is this info correct?

thanks again for your help

Yep, that is exactly correct.

And finally, because nobody else seems to have mentioned it, you cannot experiment on the final combine for a Fusion, you will get 14 or you won't depending upon the quality of the resources you use, and you do NOT have to use the VERY best you have of everything (this only applies to Fusions though), although for safety sake if I were you I would get as close as possible.

note : Remember to use lube oil or liquid petchem as your chemical

Not exactly correct. You do not need to experiment on the manufacturing units for a fusion. Just need to experiment on that ore mining unit.

Can't experiment anyway. (Option isn't there for Structure Modules, Generators, Manufacturing Modules and a few others that I forget off the top of my head)

In harvesters the only thing that matters (sub componant wise) are the MU's (ORE Mining/Light ORE Minging, Fluadic Drilling and Turbo Drilling pumps. I think that is it. The steel and ore for the final combine do need to be as good as you can get.
