Is structure experimentation really worth it? What comes from getting the 12 points in it? Do you really need it?

Additional points will give you larger hoppers or potentially the ability to recover from a poor experimentation. Thats about it, you wont' get higher than BER10/13 on the harvesters.
So in my opinion, the benefit is not great. You can certainly live without tapes. I've got 11 points and could easily get by with 10. I haven't seen much benefit to them outside of little bigger hoppers which customers don't seem to notice much. (I've had one comment on hopper size in a year)
Depends on what they cost. If they are cheap enough, then why not? But I would not be spendingmillions on them myself.
Just my personal opinion.

Yeah everything I have seen on my server seems to be about a million a point not worth it just to get a little better base rate. Thanks.

If you can afford it, then yes it's somewhat worth it.
If not, well then you'll have to make do without.

Id buy it if I see it cheap. I bought a +5 the other day for 300k, Makes me 11pt. Ill eventually get to 12pt,mainly because it seems every good crafter has to be 12pt and its like a title, some noob guy might not know theres not much into a 12pt arch but oh well. Maybe in the future Ill need it.

So to become a 12pt you gotta have +12 in attachments or just +2 after master? a +5 for 500k aint bad but how much are you gonna make just by having +5 more points is what you gotta look at. What can you make thats better with that +5 then you could without that +5? Prolly not much and prolly nothing more thats worth much more. I would'nt pay 500k just to say hey im a +10 or a +12 point. Id arther spend 500k and say hey I got 2 anniv paintings or hey I got some art. Or if you combat spend it on a better weapon or speed. But yeah if I already hd 20-30 million id pay 500k for a +5 attachment just in case it becomes nurfed. But if it dont make any real differnce like it does with chef, weaponsmith, and armorsmith its not really worth the money unless it was 10k a point. Thanks for all the insight though I do like to here it from both sides.

A10 point master is really 100 points. To be a 12 point master you need 20 points in skill tapes \ attachments for a total of 120.

I have my +12 but I also picked up a +8 tape for 300k, I slowly added to my collection,,, got the apron for free. so its not hard to get if you take your time. you dont have to spend alot of money to get it either

I find that the hopper size dosent jump up that high between the left over points from 10 to 12 anyway. maybee 10K bigger hopper is what I have seen.

My hoppers go to 139k to 142kish with 12pts. Haven't tried with just 10pts in many months.

In my experience most people dont care about hopper size, but some do.
I think the best advantages you get for being a 12pt architect is:
- The marketing value as people will choose the best rather than the every day architect if prices are fairly similar.
- The satisfaction of knowing youre one of the best and brag about it all the time
(if you spend alot of time keeping vendors full and customers happy)
- Less chance to waste alot of resources screwing up.
- In a future architect revamp, those points might just get alot more valuable, who knows.
I am currently 12pt as far as experimentation go, and will get a +25 assembly piece as soon as the seller delievers. I dont really need either real bad, but having them makes me feel more complete as an architect (I do spend alot of time keeping vendors filled
).

I recently got +12 myself but only cause I've been considering ways to increase sales. The real value having the extra hopper size matters very little in my experience, but rather the marketting value for increasing sales. If someone sees a +10 arch and a +12 arch, they'll go to the +12 arch. In customers view, they are getting more for their money. Plus only having 10 pts was annoying, felt like something was missing even tho what was missing was some small. Every crafter should feel the urge to get max experimentation pts. =)
