Hi,

I wanted to pose this to the people that know best. I have been waiting for a lot near my shop to open up. The player that owns the house occupying the lot is a customer and is on my mailing list. He hasn't been on in months or would have likely been willing to move his place to help accomodate me. But I sent in a ticket asking if it were possible (and acceptable within the rules) to find out when the maintenance and condition ran out. I got a very quick CSR respose and he was cool enough to tell me that there was zero maintenance on the house (small Tatooine) and 18% condition. This was last Friday I believe. I have been watching the lot likea hawk. Well, It is now Tuesday and the place is still standing.

Any of you happen to know or be able to give me a time frame as to how much longer you think this thing might still be standing before it goes poof?

I guess I would have thought that 18% condition would have gone quickly.

Thanks for any help ahead of time.

I was maintaining a house for a friend once after he had left the game so I could store things in there.

I finally decided that I wanted the house gone so I let maintenance run out on it but it didn't disappear.

The CSR told me that after it hits 0% it will delete itself in 30 more days.

Sure enough, it disappeared at the 30 day mark.

Isn't that a little daft, it is that kind of thing that makes it difficult to get repeat sales, why wait 30 days after it reached zero? The house should poof as soon as it hits that level otherwise what is the point ? Factories disappear at zero (I know, I lost a couple), so why not houses?

I wondered the same thing.

Strangely enough, that player had been holding a factory for me too and I had decided that I wanted it gone so I could use the (very convenient) space for a different factory so I actually camped the space and watched it disappear right before my eyes when it hit 0.

Hmm...donno.

We had to let an abandoned PA Hall rot not too long ago. The decay clicked down fairly quickly to 0%, then the building itself vanished very soon after...like a day or so. Nothing near 30 days tho, by any stretch.

Thanks to everyone that answered. I got sick of waiting for it to go poof. So I sent a ticket in jsut to see if they'd help again. Lo and behold very shortly after it was submitted I got a reply saying the place was down to 2% and he said that it would take about another 14.5 hours. CSR's have been batting 1000 with me so far.
