hey all im writing about the sign on houses issue..... and yes im one that used color on my signs..... last nite i get home and the sign on both houses read sign ... being a merchant i figured id try the new sign posts too.... when i open the radial menu on the house term i picked the first option set resident sign or something like that .... didnt do anything ..... then i picked sign 1 went outside and OMG!!! the color was still there i guess cuz i didnt try to cheng the name of the plce it kept the old info YAY!!!! so now i have a sign #2 on my porch ....and its in color with the old name so far i think im the omnly one that has found this .... if you already changed the name like my friend did .... then its too late .... sorry ...

I too returned home after the patch to find my house called 'Sign' I believe they have increased or changed the name filter on building names, my problem appeared to be that previously my house name contained a '&' and that is no longer allowed in house names.

Same here. I have my old sign, in full color, in the merchant one style. I'm not touching it until we see some confirmation that we can redo the colors.

Was there a mention about using/not usingcolors in sign names somewhere? I scanned the patch notes but didn't see anything...

It's not just the & sign ... it won't let me put any form of the word Architect in the name either.

My place was named "Jophin's Architecture and Tailoring Emporium" I had to change it to Deeds =/

It doesn't sound as classy. I'm not happy. =(

my new merchant sign says, Home of the esteemed Floyd Wright: Master Architect.

I liked the colors, I greatly enjoyed seeing that extra bit of creativity that some people put into their homes, though I wasn't one of them.

If the Devs have taken out Color on purpose, well, they should put it back!

(Colors are great on vendors as well. From a consummers point of view colored item names really snazzesthings up and helps with organization. a very nice move in that direction, now put colored Signs back!)

When I select a sign (management I) my sign appears behind my large naboo house.. lol did they even check placement? Also every time I log of it defalts back to sign and I have to chose house or sign on the house console again.

Just so everyone knows, Holo said that they are putting the ability to use colors BACK in.
