Thread: Items disappearing in backpacks
Thanks for your help with my previous problems. I posted this in another forum, but you guys have been most helpful, so I thought that I would try here too.
After my redeeding escapades, I moved from outside of Theed to around Keren, and set up several harvesters, and my house. I put in my furntiture, and decided to do what I had seen several other people do and bought a bunch of backpacks to put stuff in. I "hung" the backpacks on the wall (well, I wouldn't really call it hanging on the wall, they would sit about a foot out, perhaps for another thread), and used one for resources, and one for building supplies, one for deeds, etc. Well, I put about 18k units of resources in one and about 25 building units in the other. I ran back into town and bought some more stuff, and when I returned, dumped another 2k units of resources into the one backpack, when I noticed it was empty. I reopened it, and the 2k I had just put in was gone! I opened the building materials pack and it was empty. Every pack I had bought was empty, and a weeks worth of work was gone in an instant.
Is there some bug I should have been tracking, or is there something I am doing wrong? Is there something I can do now? I submitted a CSR ticket about 3 or 4 days ago about the redeeding problem, and then added this problem to that one, but after 3 or 4 days, I can't imagine I will hear from them any time soon. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Not sure if the problem you are experiencing is exactly the same as mine, but here is what I have seen. I have also opened backpacks hanging in buildings, and had them display as 0/50 with nothing in them. On some occassions, it would just take a while for the items to appear...on other occassions, I would have to pick the backpack up and equip it.
I have had the same problem with my main inventory, and the bar not scrolling correctly. I would be making items with my crafting station, but the inventory would not register it, and the bar would not scroll down to them. I was able to "fix" it by either resizing the window for the inventory, or disconnecting and signing back on.
I havealso had a problemwith new waypoints not appearing in my datapad, and used similar methods.
Keep trying, and hopefully your items will be found. I also submitted a ticket, and hopefully this is being dealt with.
For some reason this almost always happens to bags dropped in your house. Pick it up and look in it and the items will reappear. Drop it and they are still there. Walk out of your house and back in, bag is empty again.
In my experience, this only happens to newly dropped bags tho. Leave the bag sitting in your house empty for 24 hours (or maybe with just 1 item in it), after a server reset items will no longer disappear out of it.
Hey guys, thanks ![]()
Funny thing is, I logged on this afternoon from work...I love Saturdays, and looked in them, and all the items were there. It is a stark contrast to the 3 foot wide open mouth I had last night when I saw that, hehe. So, I don't know, maybe having them there for that long made them appear. I'll definately try the other ideas if I run into this again.
Looks like I can delete my CSR tickets, lol. They should employ you guys instead. Thanks again! Anyone needs anything on the Bria server, send me an email.
