Thread: New Master Architect...Got a Few Questions
- What Sub-Components do you keep running ALL the time in a factory? I know that arc is sub-comp intense, and I wanna keep up with my Components.
- Do you maintain a static field of harvesters? The resource requirements are above that of anything, and thats the only way I can forsee keeping up.
- Steel, Ore, Ore, Ore...what else? I know there are some gas's and chems in there too, but what else besides that should I really stock up on?
At the moment, there is a REAL shortage of architect's pumping out factories/harvs/houses on my server, soo if I can keep a good stock handy, I should have a good corner on the market (until everyone else underprices me and that whole deal starts).
Last question, I promise...what is the going pricing scheme for architect stuff? I know way back when I was a weaponsmith it was 5x resources used, but since I'm using relativley low-quality materials for most of my stuff (excluding the harvs of course), should it be closer to 3x, or even 2x?
Thanks for any help you can give me, just trying to get a bit of an edge on the market
.
- This will, of course, depend on what you want for an end product, but I am always running structural modules/wall modules and storage modules
- I have 5 heavy harvesters, 1 factory and 1 fusion generator. I move the harvesters when the spawns change. I almost exclusively, now, harvest either ore or master furniture resources and buy everything else.
- Steel, Ore, Ore, Ore, Ore, Ore, Ore, Ore and um, Ore. Everything else is very minor in comparison. If you are going to build harvesters and find some good quality materials, stock up on as much of that as possible as well. You will need a little aluminum, a little copper, and some chem, but I always just go buy some when I am getting ready to run anything that needs them. If you are doing furniture you will need some hide, too. Find a ranger to befriend and ask them to get you a bunch of hide and quality doesn't matter. They'll return with a 100k stack in about an hour.
- I charge 4x for anything where quality doesn't matter (furn, houses, etc), 5x for civic structures, 6x for quality matters stuff (harvs, crafting stations, etc) and master furniture.
Never charge less than you would pay for the materials alone on the open market. On my server, at least, even grind quality ore will go between 1.8 and 2 CPU. As a general rule I double what I would expect to pay, or have paid, for the raw materials.
1. Structure modules. You need the most of those for most structures so that takes up most of the factory time.
2. I buy my resources.
3. Copper and Aluminum. They are used specifically in Gen turbines but also are good for metal in structure modules and walls. Cu and Al are usually cheaper and easier to find than steel.
Prices vary a lot server to server depending on circumstances. To find the going prices on your server, I'd skimm through the galaxy wide vendor search. But if theres is a lack of supply on your server then I'd shoot for the higher end and give the undercutters a higher target.
and 1 equiptment factory
anyways the other subs u need is structer storage moduels mostly the normal one i normaly have 300 at any given time and u want about 100 small ones if ur selling small houses and minor things.
the gp moduels as alot of sub components needs it and some furniture energy distributre is also a must and turbines lots and lots of them as well i make about 1000 of each of these at a time when i get down to 100 left i make 1k more and light power cores i make 100 at a time as small houses and stuff needs it and large power core as well i make about 500 of those at a time.
i got 3 houses stock of this stuff and in bank and in my yaht hehehehe and in my mallb i do not mess with my city structers in this or guild hall as its not only mines hehe
