Check it out here

Good news with more loot being stackable. I hate the fact that a set of segments takes up 11 spaces on vendor when I should be able to sell it as one. Also helps when buying since you wont have to wonder if it really is what you are buying in bags for at least the stackable loot.

I like how it says that "loot should be stackable". You think? Makes you wonder why we are currently stuck with all the non-stackable FS loot...

I just read my subject line again and realized that there's a lot of "revamps" going on. Anywhooo...

I read the Loot Revamp Concept and noticed that one of the things they'd like to do is make loot stackable. So that you don't have 20 inventory spots taken up with blue rug threads etc...

I'm wondering why they can't just fix the OMU's and increase the stack size of the resources that we've been begging for. If they can stack loot, don't you think they could probably stack OMU's and increase the stack sizes of resources?

I wish they would concentrate on fixing existing issues before fixing something that people don't even think is broken. I would never have thought that stackable loot would be more important than fixing the non stackable OMU's(which is clearly broken and has been requested to be fixed).

It's raining, tomorrow's Thanksgiving and I'm still at work... Maybe I'm just a little cranky today.

They can't fix the OMU crating, the entire economy is dependant on this. Look at this flowchart that was snugged out of SOE HQ:

Fix OMU crating -> cheaper heavy mineral mining installations -> cheaper resources -> cheaper everything crafted -> less rich people -> poor people get fedup with game -> people stop paying developer's paycheck -> developer gets fired -> no more SWG -> people switch to EQ2 -> EQ2 servers overload -> EQ2 is down -> people leave EQ2 -> SOE is bankrupt -> Sony HQ lose money -> investors drop out -> Sony HQ is bankrupt -> stocks drop -> economy crashes -> end of the world...

So they better not fix it.

loot stacking is one of many ways to reduce serve lag and storage space. Why is that more important? becuase OMU's only effect 1 class... and resource stack's do not effect everyone, loot does. I would imagine that resource stack's will be next, but they can only focus on certain things at a time. They are doingaloot revamp and so added loot stacking to the process... I'm glad it's hear and am sure that a resource limit change is soon to come. As that to would greatly ruduce server space and storage space.

Just wondering if anyone has seen any Berserker components with serials yet.

As far as I know that was the biggest specific issue with loot and I can't see any reason why it would not be fixed and part of this revamp.

Hopfully the base stats on looted weapon components like rancor teeth and ranged weapon barrels have been increased to make them actually useful.

It would be even cooler if there was an updaged Knowledge Base entry telling us we could get unserialed ones replaced/corrected. Someone care to check for us?

Portions of this were introduced into the game from right before JTL was released until right before the CU publish. Re-reading the document youreferenced, it would appear not all of those ideas got implemented. Additionally, the newer loot kits (recyclers and the like) seemed to have replaced the older loot kits (rugs, gong, etc.).
