They have definitely nerfed ore concentrations. I noticed this about2 weeks ago, and now I'm sure of it. On Tarquinas there is perhaps 1 decent 60-70% spot for an ore on an entire planet. Previously, and through beta, it was quite easy to find multiple 70+ concentrations. Are we gonna tolerate this?

you just now noticed this? its been that way for a long time now. they do on occasion have 70% ore concentrations but that is very uncommon so if you have ben findign them you are very lucky.... most run between 50 and 65

Any find over 50% is either in the mountains, (ie: building not permitted here) or near a city, (ie: building not permitted here). We are nerfed.

I'm on Bria and I'm currently mining a 70% spot for ore. I was lucky, when the shift occured I started sampling from where the harvesters were and followed it all the way to the highest concentration, ended up walking nearly 4000 meters in the process.

I noticed the same thing 2 weeks ago.

79% is about the best I can find, for all mineral.

It's actually been that way since, during beta, they moved resources from a Count based allocation to a Time based one. Believe me, it's better this way. 50-60% Ore concentrations are very normal, and metal ones above 75% are rare, but not unheard of. I have several mediums sitting on a 88% 892OQ Aluminum spot right now, and one on a 83% Steel spot.

Since the game went live, Ore has been like this. It's not a nerf in the slightest, since it was always how it was. But it when it was on count, and someone could slap down 10 harvesters on a high ore concentration and then strip mine the place dry. Of course, now that it can't happen like that, it'd be nicer to see it jump, but high concentrations of very usable resources should be something more rare.

The shifts make it impossible to exploita strong spot forever, but the large range of Ore Concentration also makes multiple harvesters doable. I've noticed that while the concentrations are low, a 50% Ore spot can easily range across an entire 320m survey grid. With the overpopulation and building, it's nice to know I can spread out some. The three I have on the Aluminum vary as much as 5% between them with only 50-70m between each harvester

Back yet again, for another round of SWG... um... fun. Yeah, that's it. (It's not just a diversion while I wait in the queues for WoW BG's)

Tolerate ?

You mean you want to have the rules changed.?

This is what mining is all about.

Things change, they dissapear and get scarce or go absent. They also btw become very common too.

This is what makes things fun.

Maybe you want to go camp the best spot and be happy for ever ?

Being a miner means a lot more than just getting to the best spot first in SWG

Try another planet maybe

Yep, they will slowly nerf this game into crap. You won't be getting but 40% anything and harvesters will will eventually cost 1440 for smalls.

The Dev Team was good for creating the game but they really need someone in there that knows what the heck they are doing when it comes to running a produced game. Game creators make a crappy Live Team. This has been proven in so many games.

I've suspected that Ore deposits were artifically capped at 70% since Beta. (I've been an architect since about day 4 or 5 of release, and have never seen a concentration above 69%.)

I had my harvesters on a 74% ore spot last resource shift on Chilastra...and found a different ore at a 73% concentration.

As for minerals? Don't know where you're looking, but I have found up to 98% spots. Doesn't happen all the time..but I wouldnt' say it's rare either.
