Thread: 2 Sugestions for improveing the home..
Well, to answer your first question, vertical commands will be available in publish 7. While you will still have to use stairs to get precise heights, it will be much easier to put things in the air and this will help houses without stairs tremendously.
As far as more item storage. Don't count on it. They already have database issue's. No matter how high they put a cap on buildings, people will fill it up and then plop another house down to put even more stuff in that. People already put down many houses to store items, use factory input hoppers to place items, use vendors stockroom to keep items etc etc.

1. A decorating aid. The problem? Placeing items on top of other items for decoating ones home. I think everyone knows if you want to do this you need a house with stairs so that you can drop the item on the stairs at the desired height then use the move command to place it where you want in the room. Unfortunatly if you live in a house without stairs or want to do this in a room without stairs your just out of luck. What we need is a third command to go with the "Move" and "Rotate" commands. We need a "Elevation" command or we need the options of "up" and "down" added to the "move" commands options.
2. Increase storage capacity on houses. Right now I have 4 houses set up to hold items for my Lady and myself. I don't mind the Lots usage but it is a right nusance to find anything. If I should need something and its not where I am I must stop what I am doing and go search for it in one of the other houses. This problem is made worse if I cannot remember just which house its in. Currently houses have a limit of 75 items per lot with a max cap of 250 items. I would sugest two possible solutions to help with the problem. a.) lift the 250 item cap and just allow the 75 item per lot to also be the cap. I suspect part of this limit is to keep guild halls from poping up everywhere so may not find this acceptable. b.) Allow players to increase the storage capacity of any house at some expense. For example, a house that is normally 2 lots and 150 items storagemight be increased in 2 lotincreamantstaken from the owner or admins to increase the houses storage capacity 150 items. Every 2 lots added would also double any maint fees and taxes the house would normally acrue. This would at least allow somone to get the same storage capacity in a single house at simular cost of haveing many houses. For this second option to work well you would also need toallow more than one person to declare residencefor a house. Option "b" could alsoreduce urban spawl. Also the 250 max house limit would also have to be removed when option "b" is used. This wouldbe like multiple houses all in one house.

I couldnt agree with you more! In Ultima Online even the smallest house one can get holds 425 items and they go up with house size, 625, 880, 1200 (lrg tower), 1725 (keep), and a castle is 2200 items REPEAT from 425 to 2200 items storage!!! Now come ON!!! WHY then are we stuck with a 75, 150, 250 item limit!!!??? Grrrrrrrrrr
And the decorating tool in Ultima Online is a great tool can move and object up, down, turn it right or left, forward, backwards... a very handy tool!!!
SWG is soooo much nicer in the virtual world than UO is by it's true 3D and everything in it ... why cant we have cool stuff like in UO only BETTER!!?? ![]()
