Cool idea! Yes I know I am not alone in wishing that in SWG we had more things to utilize as decor as well as items that actually become very useful in the game that crafters could make.
Who would ever think that those lil empty books in ultima online would be so useful? Well, they were! VERY! We used them not only to make birthday and other holiday cards to our friends, we also used them for many things... like writing guild code of ethics and other guild communication in the guild hall like instructions and rules for guild contests and tournaments, to write RP characters diaries, poerty and library books for player made libraries, player made quest books with hints to the next step as well as in scavenger hunts. we could lock them down on the porch of our house and use them as house guest books or leave messages like "Back in an hour" notes to friends who might stop by. Those lil books that we could write in were REALLY cool and very handy. Many uses they had!
I am looking forward to patch 7 /move up and /move down decorating commands.. however, we need more in this game to use to decorate with Ultima Online has so many more usable items in the game to use in creative decorating.
Ex: witha trough, a pile of 2wool, a spout for a potion barrel, a piece of cloth, two fishing nets, a bench, a honey comb (chefs ingredient), and a couple dif colored potion bottles I could make a really nice bath tub (trough)with bubbles (wool), nice bath mat (fishing nets), and a table next to the tub with a bar of soap (honey comb), and oils, lotions and bubble bath in bottles (colored potions), with a nice fluffy bath towel on the floor next to the tub (dyed cloth) and even a conch shell or two for decor... and a few plants, or roses in a vase(there are about 25 dif styles of plants in UO we have 3 =/ ) a few WORKING candles VIOLA one NICE bathroom! get reall fancy and you can turn this idea into a hot tub or swimming pool.
The possibilities in Ultima online are endless I have made grand pianoes and HUGE glorious fire places with minuture angel statues and vases of flowers and candles on the mantle. oh and Pictures? WOW in Ultima we have TONS of cool pictures to hang on our walls.
Common Devs If they can do that stuff in UO you can do better here! SWG's virtual world is Sooooooo much nicer that UO lets see some REAL creativity!!!
