What in the hell happened there?

Okay...

Allow me to start over...

Hi, I'm not an architect, but I thought I'd like to give a little customer feedback that may help out some. If you find this stupid.. just ignore it .

I read through the superlong post that started with candles, moved onto the GCW, and ended somewhere with going back to the renewable income issue. Here are just a couple of thoughts:

1.) I own several harvesters - two fusion generators, heavy mineral, heavy chemical, two heavy gas, one medium flora, etc. etc. Many of the architects have said the problem with harvesters is that while they cost large amounts of money, they are not really renewable. Yet this is the case of structures in real life, isn't it?Butkeeping inwith the idea of trying to be helpful: Perhaps, and this is probably an insanely longshot idea, there could be a harvester power up that decays in the same way a weapons power up does. Either that, or it could have a set number of uses/set time (the general idea) How does this work?

Lets say the powerup adds 10% to the BER of the harvester. This could mean a big difference, especially in those crap! I can't find a good spawn instances or those Oh My God! This resources is insane quality! So the person puts on the powerup to their supernice heavy whatever harvesters, sets it down, and lets it run. The result? Extra resource! It doesn't even have to be that big of a boost - but the smaller the boost, the longer the powerup should last. This way, its a renewable source of income for the architect, its not FORCED upon the customer, and its like "hey this architect is really helping me out!" Maintenence fees could still stay where they are, which would keep the harvester as the current money-sink that it is

2.) On the idea of factional structures - I completely and totally agree with the idea of schematics being awarded for faction points and architects being able to build them. I understand, however, that you dont want people from the "other side" placing bases and turrets and whatnot, but I am SURE that the SWG team is intelligent enough to figure this issue out and make it work. I do know that MANY crafters want to be involved somehow in the GCW, and I don't understand how that itty bitty base holds all of that stuff inside of it.

I hope someone finds this helpful. I really think the first idea has a lot of potential.
