I dunno if you guys have heard about the devs wanting to make it so that a pack that has anything in it cannot be put up for sale on a vendor.

"-Commodities Market/Vendors: Fix to no longer allow people to sell bags
that are not empty on vendors. "

This sucks majorly. No longer will i be able to put special orders in a pack and place it on the vendor, cutting into my business and removing a good service for loyal customers. Dvnce, can we do anything about this other than complain?

Dont think we can, its a database issue as now people can create a vendor and have infinite storage...

Thats a cop out in my opinion. People are going to store the items regardless, using a vendor just means that the items don't need to be handled visually when they're stored in a house. And using a pack is an efficient manner of organizing items.

I saw this before and wondered why they would do it, but I think it's because otherwise it would be too easy to get around the coming vendor caps. Almost every change like this goes back to trying to keep the database under control.

Then they should hire an outside company to rework and streamline their database.

Well, according to what they said a while back, they got the company that makes the DB, Oracle, to work on improving it. The problem is that the DB continues to grow as they improve it. My guess is that they will never get to a point with the current game engine where DB size is no longer an issue.

Yeah, IMO this sucks big time, if they are going to do this then they need to address the problems we have of limited storage, most architectsI know have to find different ways of storing components. Making a single fusion requires 10 differentresources/components and this is assumingyou have already made those components and do not store the excess, it also assumes you only make enough of each component to fit one crate. Now NOBODY works like this. Typically you would make something like:

50 omu's - these do not crate, so that is 50 slot's, but let's be generous and say we use 30 slots for omus.
100 gen turbines - IMO this is a conservative number, in crates of 15 = 7 slots
30 Manufacturing Mechs - in crates of 10 (if I recall correctly) = 3 slots.
200 walls - in crates of 10 = 20 slots
200 SSSMs - in crates of 10 = 20 slots

in addition you would expect an architect to hold at least 2 types of each resource for his work, with at least 4 for those resources which we require high stats (meaning we have 2 types of grind quality + 2 types of HQ), with some of these in more than 100k, let's be generous again and say 30 stacks total resources (I hold around 100 stacks at a guess)

So, where are we up to now 30+7+3+20+20+30 that is110 slots used, just to make a handful of fusions, as a crafter of harvesters I also need to store LOMUs, HMs, FDPs, I have a medium House because I need my lots and MY factory takes twice the lots of OTHER crafters to boot, I have 150 slots available in that house, I need my Crafting stations, vendors, and I need some spare space in my house for dropping packs as I try to juggle my inventory, finally, I am an architect, I need to have some furniture in my house for chrissakes!. 150 slots is NOT enough !

So, take away our ability to store constructively and you will end up with architects who can only make one kind of item at a time, in small quantities. How is that going to help the game ? How are other playersgoing to react when they cannot get what they want because I cannot make a mineral miner as mystorage is full since Iam making chems at the moment ?

The devs really need to think seriously this time, reduce our ability to store andnobody will want to be an architect anymore, there is no fun in spending all your time juggling space and making only one type of item.

Dvnce, please, please, pleaseget this message across as strongly as you can, we only store in bags on vendors because we HAVE TO ! Don't **edit** us on this issue !
