I've been an architect for quite a while now and I feel it would be very nice to have something "special" to work for. I like the idea with the paintings for example, where the schematic has only two uses. Generally I make a factory schematic out of it and produce a batch of paintings to sell on my vendor.
Why not use the limited schematic ideaon other things aswell?
Make a bunch of new houses that uses this system. Make a general house perhaps with a whole new look and let us work hard to get the schematic for it, a schematic that only has 2 uses. Or use the same idea for furniture.

Its fairly pointless as it is as we can just make a factory schematics so making other things 2 use will just mean more factory schematics... all fairly pointless really, might as well just make the original schematic infinite use.

Much more fun to do quests to permanently gain access to new structures.
Like the RIS Armor

An infinite use schematic would just mean that those who could handle it could just stock up with millions of units of resources, do a one time 'best' schematic and pour components/resources through the factory until they ran out. How boring that would be.

Nice to see people are so positive ![]()
Make it impossible to create a factory schematic from it then?

Limited use schematics that you can then create another schematic with for things like the paintings make sense. 48k to make 2 paintings is a bit steep, plus it is just a painting. Let the art flyaround I say.
Now, if they were to impliment limited use schematics of things like houses and other structures, which is a great possibility since they have already been doing thatwith weapons, these should be schematics that you can't make another schem from, but the way to get the original schematic should be repeatable.

yeah .. these limited use schematics werent intended to be used for factory runs.. the idea was to try to keep these somewhat Rare.. But I aggree Fix the factory schematic aspect and give us some more things to build..

They could do it so that it requires a loot item. If the loot item was fairly common then it could be fairly practical to make them. I'd think that the system like the crafting aprons works relatively well.
For example :There could be a deed for a5 use "Trade Federation High Efficiency Mineral Harvester" that you get from a quest. This would be for a BER13 mineral harvester that uses the same power and maintenance costs of a medium harvester. However to make the schematic it would require a 2 identical loot items named "Mining Accelerator" that drop about as frequently as the heavy duty leather parts. This item wouldn't have stats but would be required and would have serial #.
They could do it so that we get several different limited use schematics as you work through a large quest. Start with higher efficiency medium versions then work up to the higher efficiency heavy versions. Make the quests about as hard as the Jabba themepark maybe. Don't make it like the geno cave or the corvette cause those are too hard and don't make it like the RIS missions cause those require special loot items that drop way too infrequently.

Bandola, its exactly the same as a 2 use schematic... you just make a factory schematic... so what you're saying is rubbish as it applies to both.
