Howdy folks!
So there I am, flying around Naboo, from one corner of the map to the other, looking for a vendor that sold small round tables. Did I manage to find even one registered vendor, advertised as stocking furniture that had a small table? In three hours of looking, no, in fact I didnt. I did however find about 40 vendors stocking red streelamps.
/rolleyes
So in my desperation, I drop my levels of Pistol and Ranged Combat, and the Marksman tree, and grind my way through the Furniture and Tech lines of Architect. And Ive never been happier. If I want a new Large Potted Plant, SHAZZAM! I got it! Need a new table? BIZZAP! There it is. And then, theres the lighting.
Wow, this is quite possibly the best thing added yet. It works, theres multiple and varied designs. Very cool. And then...then theres the flickering...
JESUS H CHRIST ON A JUMPING CASTLE IM HAVING SIEZURES!!
Ive got a couple lights on a wall (the wall with the guns on it, below) that will just start to flicker, pretty damn rapidly, and I cant seem to figure out why, or how to stop it. I have a theory on the why, goes a little like this...
({( The *light* on the lamps is actually a rectangular prism, or cube, thats brighter right in the middle, where the *bulb* of the light sits, and fades towards the outside. If placed too close together, the prisms/cubes of different lights will overlap, causes the light from each to pop in front of each other, creating a flickering effect. )})
Does anyone else notice this problem? Is it just me, and are there any fixes? Im guessing moving the lights further apart might help, but, gah it took so long to get my shop looking just right.
Anyhow, heres a few screengrabs of my place, and the lighting. If you ever pop onto Ahazi, drop by and take a peak, co-ords in my sig.

I gotta admit, it was almost a pleasure to grind compared to my first love of Weaponsmithing.

The flickering also occurs in my house, generally when I am moving myself, or the camera. When I am perfectly still (Along with the camera) I dont have any flickerings happening. Havent bothered to try to move anything yet.

Yes I think moving the lights a little bit might fix the flicker problem you are seeing. I haven't seen this happen myself but I have seen when you put to pieces of furniture on top of each other so they overlaop a little that you get a flicker effect where the system is trying to show both graphics and jumps back and forth.

careful if you decide to move them though, if they have been placed a while then the light might just go out...

Actually this is how I got my own start as an architect. LOL I got sick and tired of trying to furnish my house and couldn't find anything.
