Thread: Ownership trandfer and deleting Character

I dont know if its the right section to post this question, but i would apreciate any help by who ever had actual experience whit something like this scenario.
I have a house whit a lot of stuff and that took some time to decorate.
If i transfer ownership to another person and then delete my character to try another race, and then have that person transfer ownership back to me:
Does the house stay in place whit all the stuff? or will it disappear?
I just want to save the time it would take for me to empty the house, and put all the stuff from the houseon friends houses, redeed it and then have to restock it and redecorate it again.

It should work. The other guy should have the lots free as needed and after transfer its his/her and you do not have any relation to it.

I would recommend that you wait a while after transferring ownership. I have heard that others have lost everything because the system had probably not fully registered the transfer. It would probably be best to transfer, wait until after a server reset and then delete the original owner char, this should hopefully avoid any risk of losing everything.

/pointup - What they said. But I have another wrinkle....what would happen if I deleted a toon while structures are on the lots, them someone else made a new character with the same name? Basically, once a character is deleted, is the name used put into a pot so no one can use it again for a time?

That's a good question Ghost. Earlier today, just to try out the new slaps and whatnot I created a temp character on one server, and immediately when I logged in, I already had 2 emails from people I never knew discussing things I had no clue about, so I'd assume someone else had the same name and released it and the emails happened to be lost in the system or something

this has been tested. I ve heard of issues civil strcutres geting deleted and even city halls with the destroy command, but not on transfers. Just transfer and delete the char, it should be fine. last I tested this was months ago but we hadno problems.
