I used a brazier, 40-50 master architect bookcases, 10-15 ottomans, rebel banners, statues, Deariac candles, small potted plants, large trees and a few other nick-knacks.

Heh, well there are a ton of different ways you can make a fireplace the only real standard is that torches make the flame (candles are just too small and a brazier is too big for normal homes)
What house type is it since some colors work better in Tat but not that nicely in Nubian etc. Or just send my char a mail in game if you want me to make one. Give me the wp and I can whip something up for you since fireplaces don't take too long.

You might want to post an ad in your server's trade forum asking for any Interior decorators. Some of the interior decorators are not architects.
I don't know exactly how to make fireplaces myself, but I've seen some using torches for the fire.

Personally, I used (all from the "brown" series fo furniture) 4 Armoires, 1 cabinet, 5 end tables, 1 cafe table, 1 bookcase, and 5 torches. A piece of art, a painting, and 2 candles help decorate the hearth.
I'll try and remember to post a pic when I get home tonight. I'm pleased as punch with it.
