Thread: Architect Wish List?

Well, the tailors have one, I figure, why not us? Sticky this? So to start us off:


Styles:


- Dantooian? A bit of a mix between Tatooian and Nubian, maybe?


- Tatooian 2? Why not have another Tatooian style? Not Floorplan, Style.


- Nubian 2? Some more Naboo styles would be nice. Again, Not Floorplans, Styles.


- Lokian. Different then Tatooian, But Similiar.


- Corellian Style. Something that Actually Looks like the Corellian NPC cities.


- Rori Style. Maybe something special for Rori? Different than Naboo, but different Colours.


- Talusian. Again, something special, but similiar to Corellian, while different. Not Floorplan, Style.


Schematics:


- Something that is actually of Medium Size, 4 lots, Between Current Medium and Large.


Furniture:


Other:


- Colouring Furniture. Choice from a Palette to Colour the Furniture, like tailors.


- Choosing Carpet and Wallpaper. Maybe be able to buy a 'Bolt of Carpet' and 'Roll of Wallpaper' from tailors, and install them for a new colour/style. Optional on Final Assembly of a Home?


- 75 item/lot Ratio. Come on devs, we wont have database issues after this Mass-Sweep in Octuber, this would probably cut down on number of homes, actually. Also give some reason for a PA Hall or Large home other than Phallic Obession...

For customers to realize how much goes into making the Houses, Harvesters, Guild Halls,Factories they are buying. For some reason many think that architect is easy and that crafters can just pull stuff out of nowhere. Many have been turned off when I say it will take 1/2-1 whole day to make something such as a guild hall or city hall. Seeing as many of the architectual structures take crated items which means factory items it does take some time to run these items. Other than that items that would be nice to see are:


Customization in furniture *give us the opportunity to make the lower quality furniture nicer looking*


More furniture *like the blue couch in the starports*


Generic city structures *similar to the corellian style*

Flame me if this has been discussed to death, but I don't want to read 665+ posts just this minute.

Master Architects should be able to construct 1x1 sections of custom roadway for resale to Politicians. There should be a number of styles of roadway for each planet. Or maybe just a standard template of 3-5 roadway styles, useable on all planets.

Master Politician should have the ability to place "roadways" within a city. This would just be a change of the terrain type, and would not effect buildable space. Roadways would have a maint cost, of course, and would have to be purchased from an Architect. This would NOT effect the elevations of the landscape, it would simply change the "surface material" from weeds, plants, and native growth to cobblestone, dirt, concrete... whatever.

A City Level of Township (3) should be required for placing roadways. Once a city falls below this level, the roadways should implode just as all other forms of city decoration do.

I've said this before, but I'll try again.


Architect crafted gambling machines, placeable and managed by smugglers. A little boost to Architects, I know, and a big boost to Smugglers.


The ability to place furniture on the balcony/rooftop/front porch. As long as it is in the footprint, why not? You can see them outside on NPC buildings. As long as we are there, let's have camp chairs, cots and table umbrellas. Oh, and seats in/for the PC theaters! That concrete is hard on the bum.


More plants; there are several in NPC cities that Architects can't make. Let's have them.


Oh, and I definitely agree with more color choices on all Architect items.


My wife is the Architect; Natara, best Architect on Scylla. I'm just helping out by posting and contributing a couple of the ideas.

1. Lamps and candles that DO NOT deteriorate in factory crates. This makes this item hard to sell or use if they will be useless by the time someone buys/uses them. OR give us a way to relight the damn candles. I don't see why they are in use while they are still IN the factory crate.


2. Add more experimentation to our structures, factories that give bonuses to production times, houses that maybe have a reduced maintenance rate or more storage. Something. As it is now I get two kinds of resources..the stuff I build harvesters with and crap resources that I make everything else out of because it does not matter what I use in most of the things I make.


3. As already stated more furniture, plants specifically, colorization, etc. I know its already mentioned just throwing my support in for this.


I cant think of anything else at this time..

PLANTS! We only have 3 options! Everyone is tired of the same old plants. We should have a dozen options at least.


Big ultimate wish: To land my JTL starship on the roof of my PA hall. What else is that big space for anyway? This would help people justify the 9 lots required for the hall, would increase hall purchases and help architects, and I wouldn't have to travel from the starport to my hall every time I land. Small ships only, of course....it's not big enough for the Falcon-type.

Good gawd, or what!?! There are at least 3 other sets of plant styles ALLREADY MODELED in the game, yet for some unexplicable reason, we arent allowed to make those.


I did see that part of the FS quests has something about actually nursing a plant to get it to grow, and if there are more than one type I guess thats a decent addition. Still, this seems a lot like the fishing aspect of the game. You would really have to pay someone handsomely to sit and do this, as there is little to no value in functions like that.


For the love of Steve, PUH-LEEEZ put some other plant types in our schems you savages!
