Thread: Beginning Question...
I am seriously considering becoming an Architect.
Can anyone point me in the direction of the ball park figure of resources needed to "grind" through?
I'd like to get started mining and buying, before I get started. Thank you all so much!
Leilani
that should give you a dent in the first couple boxes (i assume you're making bricks/walls)
Nah i would say since the servers are down i can't confirm this but here are some numbers...
121k xp * 4 boxes
99k xp * 4 boxes
77k xp * 4 boxes
55k xp * 4 boxes
1.408 million xp
I grind ore mining units, 520 steel, 75 inert gas.
They give about 1200 xp per unit.
1.408 million xp / 1200 xp/unit= 1173 ~ 1300(given crit fails and such, this should be in the ballpark) units
1300 units * 520 steel = 676k steel
1300 units * 75 inert gas = 97.5k inert gas
Now lets talk grinding times. I do 10 seconds per unit. That is 6 units per minute and 360 in an hour. This puts me at the finish line in under 4 hours, given you have all the resources lined up, and grind straight through. But grinding straight through isn't possible since you need to get taught the skills to increase your xp cap, once you have one tree, I noticed the xp cap to be 240k experience.
Well this sounds pretty concrete, hope it helps.
Wow, everyone is being so helpful and thorough. Thank you all very much.
What is your take on "apprenticeships"? If an offer is made, should someone like myself jump at the chance? (I'm leaning toward the idea of yes it is a great offer...)

Trean that's great but you're wasting all that resource! why not grind structural modules and assemble walls to use later?
P.S. Leilani send me an email if you want to apprentice. I don't really need one since I do all my pieces in a factory these days but if you just want to grind some walls out for me or make some furniture for my vendor you can. I can of course help you with training regardless.
