Thread: Reclaiming Deeds

I have browsed this board and have seen alot of comments about reclaiming deeds. It is not obvious to me how to do this -- I checked the options for my harvesters and nothing jumps out at me. Could someone please explain (or point me to a link) how to reclaim structures?

Thanks!

you missed it because it is "Destroy sturcture" but as far as i know, it probably works like buildings. You select Destroy strucure with matinence paid up and with extra, not sure how much, but if it is like structures when you click destroy structure it will say something like "you have 30 seconds to click destroy structure again to destroy this structure" and if you don't have enough money in the matinence pool it will say something like "you need 300 more credits in the matinence pool to reclaim the deed" etc. that is all that i can do to help you.

Extra required is normally two days worth of maintenance, or close to it. For a harvester (small one) it is 1500 credits.

If you do not have enough in it when you hit destroy, it will tell you so and it will tell you how much to have in there before you hit destroy again.

Anything else we need to know about reclaiming deeds like this? Does it wipe out the power and/or maintenance already stored there? If it does, I'll just let it run into the ground and buy a new one.... I assume they blow up and you get your lot back once the maintenance goes too far down?

You must have at least 100 times the maintanance rate (or 50 hours worth of maintanance) in the maintanance pool, and the building must be at 100% condtion (if the first is true then the second must be). Then just do destroy structure normally and you'll get the deed back. However any money over the required amount in the maintanance pool is lost, as is any power in the building. Hopefully this will be changed soon.

So when I re-use the deed I've reclaimed, does the maintenence appear on the "new" harvester? I know Arkalius said you don't get anything over the required amount, but do I get the required amount? So when I plant the new harvester, it will already have 2 days worth (or whatever) of maintenence and power on it? Or do I lose all that too? If so, it's hardly worth it to reclaim a deed.

I just wanted to add a small note.

Personal harvesters are 1500 credits.

Factories are 2500 credits.

You must first get the harvester to 100%, you can't just put 1500 in the personal harvester and destroy it twice to reclaim the deed. If your harvester is currently 50% damaged and requires 360 credits to get it back to 100%. You must add 1860 credits (360 + 1500) then "Destroy Structure" twice. After the first destroy structure it will tell you whether you need to add credits and how much. It does NOT tell you the complete total, only the amount above 100% you must go.

One more thing you must take note of to prevent the accident of true destruction. This is also true for any structure.

1. If your using any type of machine structure, TURN IT OFF FIRST. Your structure is consuming money the longer you stand there.

2. Once you hit destroy and learn of the amount to safely reclaim your deed. Hit status next. You need to add enough money to pay the maintenance and bring the pool up to the amount needed to safely reclaim your deed. Its ok and highly recommended to add 1 or 2 cr more.

3. Hit status again. Don't assume anything! Server lag, loss of connection, many system related things can effect you at this point. STATUS IS YOUR FRIEND. Use it to make sure you have enough money in it to safely reclaim your deed. If your reclaim amount is3000 cr and you have 2999 in it, you will lose your deed.

4. Lastly, once you have seen the correct amount in your pool, hit destroy again, then hit destroy to reclaim your deed.

I stress this because I lost a valubale Medium harvester deed. I added the money to pay the maintenance to bring it to 100%. Then I added 3000 cr to reclaim the deed. I assumed all was well (simple math). Poof! No deed after the second destroy. I later observed this lag issue with other harvesters and decided to use status more often to make sure the money was in the pool.

Sadly, my experience is that you get absolutely nothing back when you reclaim a deed. Not themaintenance left, not the power - nothing, zip, zero zilch.

A day or two ago they did a resource shift on Radiant where I play and all my harvesters had to be moved. Unless they have changed the reclaiming process since then, nothing is reclaimed but your deed - which isn't worth the cost to reclaim it since you lose the maintenance needed to reclaim the deed, and then have to replenish the maintenance fund and power when you place and start it up again.

Not sure what the maintenance requirement for reclaimingan advanced harvester is, but if you are running the basic ones it will probably be cheaper to just build a new harvester.

Personally feel that the whole decay/maintenance/reclaim system needs a serious revamping.
