Currently, admin's on houses they do not own, can only pay maintenance and help move furniture. The dev's stated that this will change sometime in the future, but they've got other items to deal with currently (larger bugs, balance issues, etc). My bet is that it'll be changed so admin's have full rights to structures once they release the player city update in the next month or so. I'm hoping for sooner though.

Hope that helps ya.

A player city update in the next month? Dream on.

I can't imagine this being terribly hard to code, it would just require the server to set a fewdifferent values to different variables when making someone an admin of a house.

I think you should consider the impact of fixing this bug. If people can share houses, then the demand for houses will go down!

Why would players, especially combat types, want to have their own separate house when they can simply share a medium house with multiple friends to use asa drop-off point? Even crafters will team-up to buy a medium or large house, and open a armor/weapons/droid shop, instead of purchasing separate houses to use as stores. I suppose if they keep the # of items allowed to be dropped the same, this will keep too many people from sharing the same house.

I'm not saying I don't want the bug fixed at all, but perhaps there needs to be some other limitations that will allow people who don't want separate homes to share, but encourage playersin other ways to get their own homes. Perhaps the more people sharing the house, the higher the maintenance?

I know its already been said but I want to know from somebody who has the answers.

I think that if not being able to pick up and drop as an admin is a bug then it needs to get fixed, or if it is on purpose then the devs need to rethink this. Now in real life a single person does not go out and buy a 5 bedroom house so why would anyone in the galaxies? You should buy large and medium houses with the intent of sharing them with friends, but if they cant do anything but look at it, walk around in it, and help you pay for it why would anyone want to be in that kind of deal???

Well like in our case we need to be able to share a common house till we get a PA built. Which may be months down the road. The ability for admins to pick up items is crucial! I'll give you an example. I have a few tuskan rifles stored at the house. I want one of my PA members to be able to go grab one if needed with-out me having to go to the house with him. If I trust him then he should be able to Drop items as well as Pick-Up items.

OK, this is what u do. U make 1 house that is locked out to anybody but the people u want to share items with. Then u put everything u want to store for sale on a player merchant for 1 credit each. If they ever need it, they can go in and pay the 1 credit and when they are finished, they can go in and sell it for 1 credit each .

The demand for small houses will likely drop, but the demand for medium and large houses will likely increase. A small house for 2 people is fine, but once you add a third, it starts getting crowded. So, the base market will move from smalls to the medium/larges.

Plus, the bigger the house, the more furniture you need. There's a much better margin on furniture anyway.

What really is frustrating...is that my mate and I are married in game...and she still can't share the house with me! That is rediculous! Why in the world would you NOT let a married couple share a house?

We will NOT buy another house no matter what...that is stupid in the extreem, besides we already have one that acts as the town hospital/cantina and I plan to buy another for my droid shoppe...to buy a fourth would be ridiculous on mat cost to say nothing else...all because they don't want to let MARRIED people share a house! Geez...

A decrease in demand for small houses, and houses in general is inevitable. AFAIK they do not decay. Installations and to some extent furniture is where there will continue to be some business. However this house storage bug is just irritating as is the hopper bug with factories.

Oh and from what I can tell it is the combat people that are exactly the ones that want a house. I myself do not have one as a crafter, it is a waste. A small house is two solar generators I would give up. No thanks.
