This is actually a dual pronged post.
Prong 1 - Lot 'allotments' in general. From what I can find through my research, the 10 lot's given to each player was set as to prevent the landscape from looking like that on the old school UO servers, where one couldn't walk 5 feet without encountering a player structure. Given the rather massive planetary landscape and the number of players per server, I think that there would be little risk in increasing the lot's per player to 15. This would not require any additional 'art resources' that are being allocated to the JTL initiative, and would potentially cause a significant revival to our markets as hopefullypeople would buy 'summer' houses etc.
Prong 2 - Architect Lot Allotments - Given my harvester deployments typically, I don't even have enough lots for anything more than a small house, let alone a 'showcase' house that can decently exhibit the furniture that our trade can craft. Though it may be silly, some consideration towards granting extra lot units for Master Architect could be at least a nice compensation token gift given the lack of other consideration we have recieved as a profession.
Just some thoughts,

Maybe like, everyone gets three (shut up, i don't care for flaming)
Artisans get five. Seven at Mastery.
Merchants get seven, ten at mastery.
Ect, ect, *edit your own profession so you don't complain at me*
And architects could start with seven or ten and progress to fifteen or something.
You'd think that someone who specialized in this kinda thing would know a thing or two about buying and selling lots.

I disagree. I think the lot's allocation is fine, we all have to deal with it in our own way, it's called making lifestyle choices. If you want a bigger house then sacrifice something else, I have never gone in for lot swapping but that is another possibility. I have 1 medium and 2 small houses plus 3 structure factories, that is all my lots used. I chose this rather than have lots for harvesters, so I buy ALL my resources in. I have 3 houses because I need the storage. I don't complain about having too few lots, why should I? by buying my own resources I support other players, the resource gatherers and sellers, who in turn support meand other archs because they buy our harvesters to gather resources to sell back to me. Tell you what, let all architects have 100 lots, then we can harvest all our own resources no problem, only thenwho are we going to sell harvs to?

Sorry, call this a flame if you like, but again I disagree. Everybody gets 3 lots? apart from archs everybody else gets a MAXIMUM of 10, some less, hmmm, less lots means less structures, now who sells structures? Oh yeah, Architects... Great we'd be **edit**ed !

Hmmm, I just read through it all again, I couldn't see at first what you meant, but then instead of reading it as I had thought I had written it, I read it from a more neutral viewpoint. I can see you may have misunderstood me. Most of my post was actually intended to be some advice on dealing with the lot limit, by giving some examples from my own experience. The last comment
should not have been taken out of context if the rest had come across as I intended.

I have to disagree because other crafting professions are limited in other ways such as needing certain rare resources ,lots of different resources or very high quality resources our limitation just means that we cant produce stupid amounts of structures as we need pure bulk of resources

Given that I abhor and detest whining, I was rather taken aback by the tone of voice in the responses. It took me a moment to realize that my attempt at coming up with atitle to the topic did indicate a whine post where none was intended. Rather, it was my single and sole view of a easy to implement 'fix' to temporarily bolster our markets. The first 'prong' was a genuine and sincere posting, the second prong was just an idle passing thought.
I will attempt to be more clear in my topic titles lest the wrong message is conveyed.
