Well their is Jedi revamp, the combat balance and then the GCW revamp then space. Then they have to finishspace to make it stable enough for use after it has been released to retail. Then they have to fix all the bugs with space. By that point space will be out of content, so they will need to work on that.
I am thinking color furniture isn't on the schedule until Aug... 2005. The concept is there of course, the work isn't.

Even if we get colors, it'll probably be some sort of weak palette like the vehicles have and it'll just look like you bought some spray paint at wal-mart and changed the color of your couch.

I wish that you were wrong, but I suspect you've nailed it exactly. The vehicle colors and a lot of the droid colors (e.g, on probots) are incredibly lame.

Dvnce,
The thread 'Furniture Colorization Poll' was started a full 5 months ago and at that time you said ".. It looks like the Ball is rolling on the concept of furniture colors.."
Would it be a correct guess that the ball has stopped rolling?
What is the status on furniture colorization? Is it taking a long term back seat to combat revamp, Jedi revamp and JTL like virtually everything else?

I have always wondered about this ... My computer last time I check can see like 16million colors, why does SOE see the need to only let us have access to about 100 of them and the ones I can access look the same!!!! Its like 20 shades of red, 20 of blue (and its not really blue its a grayish blue) and some white. Did we outlaw bright colors in the future?

I think this was probably a specific choice by the game designers. It may have been Lucas arts who outlawed the bright colors to keep it more in line with the feel of the movies.
I would imagine also that giving us access to 16M colors would also be a lot harder to program and would take up more space in the database. No real reason for that much variety.
