Hello Architects.

I have several torches that suddenly seem burnt out. They sputter a puff of smoke or a gout of flame every now and then, and a little light too, but they no longer burn. I can even still hear the crackling of the fire. Burnt out torches? These torches are very old; over a year old at least. I use them to decorate a jungle-themed dining room and in my fireplace in the main room of my guild hall. I was stunned to walk in there today and see not a single torch burning.

I picked up and dropped a couple torches. They did not "reignite." I went over to City Hall to check Padre's old torches in there. They are all still burning so I determined it was not a glitch of some kind with my graphics settings.

Is this a new feature? Or a bug?

Not a big deal for me to go buy all new torches -- I was just surprised.

EDIT: Okay. Weird. I picked up one "burnt out" torch and logged out with it in inventory. Stayed logged out for about 30 minutes. Logged back in and the torch in inventory was burning normally again. Dropped it. Still burning. And all the other torches in the mall are burning again too. *boggle* So ummm. Weird.

There are sometimes graphical anomolies when things are stacked close to each other.

Try dropping one of them in the middle of a room and see if it still lights.

Ya its just a graphic glitch.
It seems for me that whenever I get my house to completely reload, both just walking out and back in or waiting for server restart, I can get them to come back.
Seems that when you first drop the torch it also sometimes does not light up perfectly.

Graphics Glitch, Server Glitch, ...whatever.

Currently, torches don't burnout.
