I was reading a thread about what qualities were important when making Architect items. For example, when making Harvesters, what the important states for each part of the harvestor are. I'm pretty new to the whole Architect profession and I'm trying to study to see what I need to keep an eye out for. If anyone knows of any threads anywhere, I would appreciate a link. Thank you.

If you are new to architect then I'd recommend reading through the FAQ. There is a lot of stuff in there plus links to some useful threads and some tools.

I have read through the FAQ on this site and everyother site I can find. I'm looking specifically for a thread that gave a breakdown on components that it was important to pay attention to the qualities. Like Houses don't really care about quality of the resources, but with Harvesters and Factories it plays a major role. This is what I'm looking for.

There are probably various threads we've addressed where quality matters.
The quality of materials ONLY matters for harvesters or crafting stations. Thats it. And for harvesters the quality only matters in the final combine and in the mining part.
So for everything else: furniture, houses, factories, city structures and decorations, the quality does not matter at all.

Should be:
50% UT
25% SR
25% HR
Yep thats it. Also important to mention that only the mining/harvesting mech and the final combine need quality ingredients on installations.

Thanks Pawlin,
I guess that's what I was looking for. The thread was pretty detailed, but I think I can figure out what is important during the process by looking at the attributes of what i'm making. I was wanting to stock my vendor with furniture and couldn't find anywhere whether or not the quality of the materials mattered. I still wish I could find that thread though...![]()

Unfortunately I think if you just look at the schematics it will be misleading for some things. I believe stuff like furniture has % values and stats listed and then they do also have an experiment bar. It makes it look like it matters, but it doesn't.

Check swgcraft.com, it shows break downs of resource experimentation contributions.

Hey Pawlin,
I finally found the thread I was looking for. Thanks for your help and everyones elses. Funny thing is, you were a big contributer to that thread...LOL. Now that I know what to look for when making items, I won't waste good resources on items that don't require them.
