We can not currently make 45 stations with current experimentation rules. 45 for stations is the most that people were able to get for 1 day about a year ago on 'Temporary tuesday' or 'Crafting day' when they changed the rules of experimentation for 1 day only. Some of those 45 stations may be floating around still on some servers but they might not and some servers people never hit 45.

Current maximum for stations isdependent on the exact resource quality on the server in question.

You're likely to find stations in the 43-44 range as the current max on most servers.
