Thread: Better Commands For Furniture Arrangement
Unfortunately, when it comes to the "Move" command on the radial menu--what you see is what you get. Of Course you can modify those four commands a bit (but not much) by typing "/move forward 10," or "/move up 25."
I agree, it's difficult decorating. Those players who advertise themselves as Interior Decorators will tell you that it takes time and patience to get things to appear as they want them to.
one way to make the decorating easier is to use a... chair. yes, a chair.
point the char, using the rotate commands, and sit in it. no more accidental moving your 'toon. makes decoratin much easier.

Some times the most obvious answers elude us , i was suffering just as much as the original poster and not thought of this, you have just saved me a lot of time ,thank you.

I'd love to be able to turn something on its side or upside down.

This is soooo true. I decorate a lot so I have a couple of hotbar panes totally dedicated to decorating macros. For example:
1st four boxes are /move forward 100, /move forward 50, /move forward 10,/move forward 1.
2nd row boxes /move back 100(50/10/1)
my middle boxes top: /rotate right 90(45,22,1)
bottom row: /rotate left 45(22,1,/pickup)
last set of boxes top: /move up 100(50,10,1)
bottom row: /move down 100(50,10,1)
Here's a link to more decorating macros.
Hope this clicky works
Edit: Oops, I almost forgot. It helps to have a general idea of what you want to do and most of your furniture crafted before you start.
