Can someone tell me why you can't drop furniture on the stage of the theater? Its a stage, yet i can't put a microphone or loud speakers, or heave forbid a scenery for a play.
Honestly, what purpose does the building really serve?

it looks cool, that's the only reason I think that it's in the game, it's possible that it couldve at one time gave a bonus of some sort to the musically inclined but I am not sure about that,
I have only sold 1 of these things ever lol

There's so much they could do with the theatre and I just think it's shame that it's a building without much attention.

The problem with the theatre is that they decided to make it open. Once it was decided to be open, nothing could be placed on the stage. Much like guild halls and large nubian houses. If they went and enclosed it, then the stage would be decorateable.
They should change it to enclosed, and then it'd be nice if there were banners on the outside that the owner could change. I.e. a red festive one or a green nature one or whatever.

I've been thinking about placing one for my city, but I too find little or no use for it. I can do much better in a cantina. The theater has a rather elaborate maze of ramps to head up before you can get inside and once you do it's a small dank room that needs wallpapering!

thats a good use. I want to do a real theater, where you can see shows, bands, and the like. Guess i'll have to use a PA hall.
