Experimentation has accomplished absolutely nothing whatsoever that I have seen so far.

I have made factory runs of "Amazing" successes on Structure Mods, and experimented them up and up, and still have basically the exact same results of normal structures with my walls.

Can any of you tell me a single positive thing that experimentation has provided for any single product we can build?

Ive seen people trying to say "68% experimentation Harvester!" and all kinds of nonsense, but personally I think they are lying to their customers, and there doesnt seem to be any products any better than anyone else out there.

Help?

Since I hit Master Architect a month ago, I experiment everything. It doesn't make any difference right now that I see, but with the recent changes to Crafting Stations and tools showing effectiveness, I'm hoping the same will someday happen with structures...

Crafting Stations are the only thing I can think of that it affects. And now that I pause for a moment, I can't remember if we got that schematic as Novice architect or at Engineer.

We get the crafting station schematics at Artisan. More ironially, crafting stations use experiementation points from the artisan tree.

actually we get crafting stations at novice architect, but yeah, the experimentation points are artisan. That I don't understand.

Last night I was remaking my tools and I was trying to get the effectiveness of them up. I noticed that with lower quality items I had far less fails then when I baught 800+ resourcs. In fact I was not able to make a generic crafting item with high quality resourcs with out failing at least once in expermimentation and when I got an amazing success I would crit fail on expermintation right after. I think the quality of resources has alot to do with failing. Makes sense if your working on a higher quality item you would have a greater chance at screwing it up.

But there still are absolutely no differencesbetween a Novice anda Master Prdocut, on ANY item correct?

Absolutely correct. Every structure, every harvestor, every piece of furniture that a Master Architect makes is exactly the same as those same items made by a Architect still in the middle of his skill boxes or at the bottom.

Cookie Cutter items, there is nothing that makes your structures better than my structures better than the next guys structures.

It is sad but true, Architects are holders of the single most useless (as in it has no use, it does nothing) skill tree of any profession, that being construction, and everything we make either, does nothing for the buyerexcept use up valuable storage space and look mildly pretty(furniture), has less storage than prepatch or the same storage and not in any sort of logical scale to it and doesn't address the need for more storage for players oh and not to mention making and selling these for aworthwhile profit is nigh impossible(Houses), helps us get more resources to make more useless stuff or to be sold to others to help them get more resources to sell on the market for high prices which make selling resources more profitable than turning them into anything from our skill trees and people think we price these items too steeply at 3 to 4 cr a unit or we can't make certain ones due to schemtaic bugs (Harvestors), or helps us and others to mass produce things when they work but you only ever need 1 or 2 so repeat business is light if any (Factories).

You know, in writing this I realise that the Devs DIDN'T get rid of the miner profession, they just renamed it Architect and let us build eyecandy people don't have space to have.

Bitter? me? I'm not bitter I'm just trying to grasp what the purposeof an architect in the world of SWG is now after all these badly designed bandaide fixes? It certainly isn't to be in business or make useful things. The Devs have shown us this, just look at how every nerf to fix their Database issues cripples us even more.

Sigh, I just don't see how Urban Planner is going to work with this crappy database they have. The more content they put in the game the less storage space they are going to give players, the more redundent Architect, and ergo Urban Planner, will become. Don't be surprised if with the next big update we don't get our storage limit decreased even further.

It will get to the point where after all the Master Archshave ground their way to Urban Planner and built a couple of everything THEIR PA city will ever need the majority will drop all the skills and go combat, simply because their is no point keeping skills that you just won't use more than a couple of times ever, period, unless you are sadistic.

I had such high hopes, finally a game where I couldbuild things, big things, and be a part of a player economy where I had a use, and an ongoing one at that, that would support a community of Architects of all levels, but sadly their just isn't room for more than a handful of Master Archs and even lessUrban Planners.

I was wondering if it was profession wide or not. I have only 1 experiment point and am almost teir 3 across the board( construction i've stopped raising). By this time as Artisan i had around 6-8 points to use for experimentation.

Am I broke or is the whole profession?

Thanks
