Thread: Our chance for redemption
With harvies being affected by experimentation, we have a somewhat fresh start in the average price of sale. I was wondering what people thought about how they will charge for newly experimented miners.
I am guessing that the baseline stats are "average" for a miner. Should we charge the typical 3cpu for "average" miners or miners that are less than average (less than baseline stats)? I was thinking something like for each bonus point in extraction rate add an extra 30% and for every 5k increase in hopper size, add an extra 20% So I was making medium miners with extraction rate of 6 and hopper size around 60k. Baseline is 4 and 50k, so rather than charging the 15k for the baseline miner, I'd charge 15k + .30*15k + .20*10k = 21,500. Seem reasonable at all?
I know that if people bump the typical cost of miners for the uber stats, I'm cancelling my account and uninstalling swg.
I agree that if a harv works better it should cost more. I made 3 last night that had a 5 extraction rate which I planted for my own. I couldn't sell them for 15k each. I would agree with a % increase for better extraction rate but I don't think I can agree with the hopper size increase. I'm not sure about other people but I've never had an issue with my hoppers getting to full. But if everyone is going to raise their prices then so will I.
I have to gripe though about the guys who sell their Med houses for 40-50k and Med Chem harvs for 20k Umm... We can't make any money competing like that!
