Should it be a straight % increase?

Say an old Heavy miner @ 7 sold for 100K, what should a new one @10 sell for?

Doh just posted my own thread asking the same thing. Here is a part of it on what I plan on doing.

I will just use mediums as a quickexample.

My old meium price was 12k ~3.3cpu old stats and rock bottom for experimentation 4Kg/H 50K hopper

Now my thought was to add the follwing.

5Kg/H = +1CPU 6 Kg/H = +2 cpu 7Kg/H +3cpu

Hopper size .5cpu per 2500 increase.

So the new fully experimented with 950+ materials would come to 7Kg/H with a 65k hopper. That would be 9.3 cpu total which comes to around 33K for the harvester.

I like the straigh % model better for the bigger harvestors. I dont think I will waste my time experimenting on mediums.

So +10 is ~42% increase. So 100K base price + 42% increase = 142K for a heavy miner. What do you think ?

Far too low in my opinion for a high end peice of equipment. Your price works out to about 5.25 cpu roughly.

Imo that is what we should have been charging in the first place. If you botched the experiment which is really hard to do since you will be factory running your ore mining units and final experimentation will not effect it only hopper size i think the price is ok for something like a 8 maybe 9 Kg/H heavy.

Don't underestimate mediums wither i think there will be a far larger demand since they will be the most economical to the end user, lower maintenace, lower power, larger hoppers and better efficiency than their old mediums. The are upgrading to old heavy status at a fraction of the cost. Only miners and architects need heavies for the amount of resources we require. I think you will find a lot of crafters settling for the new mediums for their personal use.

The only reason I don't like a static % is mainlybecause we are working off a really crappy base. Our prices are so delfalted it's not funny. With a scaling cpu structure we can bring ourselves in line with other artisans and have a valid reason for doing so.
