Thread: Crafting Sessions fail 2 out of every 4 times (2 on and 2 off)
Last night I tried to craft and as soon as I open the kit it would close a second later or 2 seconds later and say your "Crafting Session has ended". Afterwards, the following 2 attempts would work right.
This is a major flaw as the first two messages are associated with /nextCraftingStage pushes and/or /getProtoType instances plugged into the kits at random. Somehow, something got majorly screwed up and now no one can craft with any consistency.
Do you think that architects will try to build their houses knowing that their items will be eaten halfway through the crafting process due to this bug?
This is a gamestopping bug and the type we should not be seeing at this stage in the game. Whatever you guys did on the patch yesterday, you majorly screwed up and someone or a group of those someones should be looking for a new job.
In my business, if something like this ever hit the public with our proprietary software, the people responsible would not be working for us anymore.
In addition to all the blunders going on the following happened at Lucas Arts:

LucasArts President Resigns Abruptly
The president of LucasArts Entertainment Co., Simon Jeffery, abruptly resigned. A company spokeswoman would not say why he resigned or who would replace him at the San Rafael, Calif., game publisher he led for more than three years.
LucasArts, which produces video and computer games based on the Star Wars movie franchise, is a subsidiary of Lucasfilm, a privately held company owned by director George Lucas.
Its titles include "Galaxies," an online game that launched this summer, and "Knights of the Old Republic."
Now if I could get my hands on the person or persons responsible for development, I would turn into a field goal kicker in a moments instant and place a big Red X on their behind.
Someone should be next. Like I said, at this stage in the game, if development is producing blunders of this proportion, something is not right and needs to be fixed. Since the development team is responsible for testing code and working together, they are either mis-managed, poorly organized and orchestrated, or really have no clue as to what they want to implement in this game besides a giant egg shell of lovely imagery with an empty yoke inside.
I restocked over 200 items on my vendors earlier and had only 7 crit fails and none of the problems you're describing. I was using a 10.7 tool and a 42.3 station. I haven't tried to make anything in a factory yet as I'm low on ore after the restock.
I wonder why he quit...very odd.. ![]()
anyways hopes these numbers helps ya.

I'm not sure if it's server related but I am using the best crafting tools. I tried multiple types (newly created, old, old (amazing) types and it still occured. I spoke with numerous people on Radiant and they were getting the same type of events. It could conceivably be server related and only a "Radiant" incident but I'm not sure about that completely.
By the way, I love the quote from Voltaire. He is by and far, my favorite writer of all time. My favorite romantic quote from him,
"Love is the most passionate of all emotions, for it attacks at once the head, the heart, and the body." - Voltaire
Sorry had to throw that in there and by the way I love the "Henriade". Read it, love it, learn it. ![]()
hrmmm, sounds to me like it is server related. I play on Kauri, and haven't heard much of anything about it until I came to the forums.
Hehe, and yea Voltaire is awesome. I have a book of quotes around here somewhere in this pile I call a desktop. He has some of the best ones I've ever read. ![]()
