Since the correspondents are active now, and the factory is an architect item, I guess I have to post it here.

When will the factory XP be fixed? A rough ETA style "next week" would be enough, at least you'd throw us a bone. I do KNOW it's aknown issuefor almost 2 weeks now, but nothing happened to this.

Might I ask .. what is wrong with factory xp ? It is working exactly as intended .. 100% xp granted on an 8x slower to make basis and you have to be near the factory to get the xp. Whats broken ?

When I'm not in range of it, it doesnt grant the XP. I'm suspecting more and more that just wearable factories are affected by it.

From my experience the factories are working correctly with exp.

1. You must be online to get exp

2. You get the experience once you get close to the factory. So lets say you load up your factory and then go run some missions. When you come back you will get exp when in range.

Let's say I start the factory to make 100 reinforced panels and then run away until it's done, I should get the 75 XP x 100 when I get in range of it, right? So when it pops up on screen/gameworld I should get a 7500 XP boost, right? Doesn't happen for me.

Well, if the XP doesnt get lost when being offline, I will start another run of reinforced panels, get as far away as possible, log off, log on next day and get near to it to see if I get the XP then. I just need to know if I loose the XP for offline manufactured items.

You need to be in range to gain xp. As for how far the range is, I have no idea.

you only get 100% of the xp if it's creating while you're in range ie if you put in enough to make 75 and you're only within range when the factory makes 30 of the 75 you will get 3000 xp and I THINK 10% of the rest

By theory, the factory should buffer the XPs when out of range and give it in a chunk to you when you get back to it, just as X-EQholic suggested. That however doesnt seem to work on my wearables factory. I've been told it will be fixed by Raph, so something's indeed bugged. It's just 13 days ago I've been told so :/

TripleDES,

You seem to be missing the point. You will NOT get xp for being out of range or offline The factory will not (nor is it supposed to) buffer it. Its not broken, just your understanding of how it works is

You MUST be online and MUST be in range of factory to get xp, any units it makes when the before 2 conditions are not met you will never get the xp for period. This is how it is, and how it should be.

As far as I can tell from personal experience and others is that the range is approx 1500m ...as long as your inside that range you get all the xp .....

It shouldn't be like that because it's stupid. I also don't see how that's supposed to be right, when I complain about it and Raph tells me it will get fixed.

Ok, my PA pal found out that you get XP anywhere on the planet, unless you're in a city. No idea why that is, but I can confirm that by having tested it myself. You can stand at the opposite edge of the planet and gain XP but not stand in the next city 700m away. So yeah, they're indeed BUGGED.
