1. The way resource depletion is handled is bad for several reasons. First, it completely destroys any immersion factor for surveying. I find an 85% vein, plop down a couple of harvesters, fill with maintenance and power, and leave or log off. I come back an hour or perhaps even a day later depending on the amount of resources I placed in the harvesters to find out that lo and behold! the ENTIRE ecosystem of the planet has changed! Come now, seriously, make resources deplete over time,NOT pop and respawn like random mobs in EverQuest. This is not even remotely immersive and downright irritating for ALL crafters. However, since Architects require horrendously huge amounts of resources (and they should) this really destroys the immersion factor for architects.

2. The merchant profession is completely hosed. Why do you ask is this bad for architects? I'll tell you why. The only cash flow generating purpose for a house is to have a vendor. The only skills to improve what vendors can do for you lie in the merchant profession. Because vendors eat stacks of resources and other items for sale seemingly at random, nobody I know is willing to take the chance that their 20 gazillion credit weapons/armor/droid/whatever will be available on the vendor. So people stand near the starports and shuttleports shouting sales pitches like high priced flea market vendors. So much for a need for homes other than having a spot to call your own and decorate.

3. Speaking of decorating. There are about 5 pieces of furniture that actually serve any purpose. 4 of those are crafting stations, and they aren't really furniture. The other stuff just takes up space and looks pretty. I can't store schematics or deeds in my bookcases. I can't put gear in my chests, or tools in my tool chests. Most of the time I can't sit on my couches. I'm certainly not getting any loving on my loveseat, or growing anything interesting in my plant pots. The only reason at this point for getting the furniture line is that oddly enough it is the only line to improve artisan assembly. I can see how this would be so, as most of the real world architects I know got most of their good working experience in their wood shop class.
