What are the best types on the server available right now to get
I understand im looking for the best overall quality, Unit Toughness, Shock Resist and Decay

Anyone GIve me some examples of what is the best available now and maybe what planet to start(know its alot to ask) but any info would help

You can check out www.swgcraft.com to see what stats the various resources have. They have most of the resources in the game fro each server lined up in their resource tree.

In the end, you are going to have to go out there with your surveying tool and hump around the country side. There is soo much diversity in resources. Also, the manner in which resources are handled server to server is different.

Keeper, I see you are on Starsider, that is my server too soI'll warn you about swgcrat.com. I do like their site and think there is some good info there, but the resource pages for our server are very deficient. I checked them out yesterday and I found that many of the minerals are missing including the highest quality ones. I'm on Naboo right now and manybe 1/4th of the minerals on that planet are posted (and that is being generous). So, remember the list is very incomplete.

The best way to fine what is the best steel or Copper (or whatever) is to either survey each one or find them on the bazaar and record the stats. Then you can easily find which is best for several different things you know how complete your list is.

And maybe if I get time one day I'll submit my resourse list to swgcraft.
