Thread: FUSION POWER what does it do ? where to place harvester ?
Here is why. A Heavy Mineral harvester outputs 7kg/hour. Lets say you are on a 90% radioactive site. If you whipped a Large Harvester there, you'd take in 9000 power a day, it would cost you 2160 credits maintenance/1800 power a day. So that cuts your output down to 7200 power a day produced at a cost of 2160 credits.
Now lets look at the same sceneario with a 13kg/hour outputing Fusion. A fusion would produce 16,500 power a day, and only costs 1440 a day in maintenance and does NOT require power to run.
So...the question you need to ask yourself is: do you want 16500 power a day for 1440 credits, or do you want 7200 power a day for 2160 credits?
Trust me...go with fusion.
Does any one know where to place the fusin power ?
some people say its like solar except you can place it ANYWHERE ?
i dont believe this is true, but if not what do you survey for ?
To find out where to place the machine ?
If any one knows i would really appreciate it alot.
thanks..
great, thanks for the fast reply...
one more question... the same type that you can sample via mineral survey tool ?
because i did harvest that once with the mineral survey device, yet i cant use them for anything as power ?
and idea on that ?
thanks...
great, one last question
, dont wanna be a pain but its hard finding someone that knows...
if you can use the mineral suevey tool, why use a fusion generator and not just a heavy mineral extractor ? Could you ? other then the fact that you have to pay for power and maint, whereas the fusion one is maint only.
thanks.
because a fusion generator has a rate of 13kg/h while a personal harvester has a rate of 2.
also the mantance rate is about 1400 a day, as oposed to that many harvesters which would take 4320 a day. *numbers are a guestimation*
finaly, they only take up one lot., as oposed to the 6 you'd need for your harvesters... *which you, ironicly enough, would have to power*
