If you or anyone you know is suffering from the untargetable couch bug, please post your system specs here, use DXDiag, please post your video card and DX version.

I have a theory. On my main computer I'mrunning a Radeon and I have no problems targeting the couch. But on my other computer, that's using a nVidia card, is unable to target them. So maybe that problem is related to video cards?

DX is 9.0a

I can't target the couch. I'm glad I put it in a corner. Too bad it is facing the wrong way.

Sorry let me expand just a little, please post if you can or cannot target and also what video card and DX you're using.

So even if you don't have a problem targeting, please reply

I have two machines, one with an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, the other with an NVidia GeForce 4 MX.

On both machines, sometimes I can target the couches, and sometimes I can't.

I have had this error. In fact I got a CSR to get rid of the couch, but guess what. The code though the couch was part of the house. I lost my house and everything in it. It was the large brown curved couch. The CSR's worked with me and I got a new house same model. Some of my items but the majority they couldnot reproduce so I was given credits for. It was fair I lost out some because some of my stuff was rare but im just happy to have my house back.

But I will never use those brown curved couches again. I have seen them in many shops and all are not solid cant be used and cant be selected irregardless of whether its sticking in the wall or not.

I know alot of people that have the couch issue but i was the only one that tried to get rid of mine.

Not sure what my DXdiag would show since the CSR also couldn't move it normally. Plus I'm at work.

The Furniture 3 curved brown couch is apparently the devil. :-)

I can make them, target them, place them, move them, pick them up, etc. just fine. The first two people I sold them to were unable to even drop or destroy them in their inventory.

Large beds *used to be* fine, but now I've had a couple customers with the same problems with the large bed as described with the curved couch. I'm not so sure this is a player video card issue as it is a bug introduced in a recent patch. The large bed and couch were working fine for my customers up until this week.

Two machines both using 9.0a

One is running a Raedon 9700 Pro, the other is running the 256 Nvidia 5900. Can't target that big couch with either computer and 2 different accounts.

I can't target the couch either. But I did find a way to move it and even pick it up, that way if it's just in the middle of your room, like mine was, you can get it out of the way. Use the line commands /move and /rotate with the name of the object in the command. Such as /move couch forward 1 or /rotate couch right 45. To pick it up simply use /pickup couch. And even to sit on it, use /sit couch.

Hope this helps some of you, at least for the time being.

You could be on to something. I dropped one of the c shaped couches on a machine with a Geforce 3 card and wasn't able to pick it. However, later after logging onto a machine with a Ati 9700 I was able to pick it and move it.

Only furniture I've seen this problem with is the brown c shaped couch and the sofa chair.
