Thread: Thinking about Architect
I am currently a Master Ranger/Master Creature Handler/Rifleman with 0 skill points left and was contemplating my next profession. When I first bought the game, Architect sounded like fun and I was even a Master Artisan, but longed for combat.
Now that I have had my fill of combat and pretty much looking for new challenges, I was hoping you could give me an insight in your profession and if it is worth it and if you would recommend it?
Is there anything I should do now to get ready for Architect/Artisan? Do I need Master Artisan?
Thanks in advance

dont become architect for getting cash well. we get lowest payoff per resource we use, every other crafter gets better rate per resource and atm, the pure resource selers are the winners at all.
if you go architect make it cause u like it not to make cash. and if you decide to do, then yes master artisan is always good choice or you need to buy later on some items from master artisans
If you're looking to make money than go for Weaponsmith or just mining.
If you've got your heart set on being an architect then heres some tips:
- Don't underprice. You'll regret it later. Its always easier to lower your prices than to raise them. If you need to supplement your income do it with survey missions or mining. (my prices are on the lower side and I regret it a little but not a whole lot, hey its a game)
- Pick a specialty: Furniture shop, Interior decorator, Heavy harvestors, Housing, etc.
- Furniture has a good markup. So do qualitycrafting stations.
- I would recommend being a master artisan if you want to make crafting stations. Otherwise I think you can get by without master artisan. There are some components you'll need but you can probably buy them easily enough.
- You might try to find a master architect that will buy walls from you. Its easier than trying to make a profit on small houses when you first start out.
