I suggest you use some of those lots you have on Harvesters then.... I think you guys have it easy... Armorsmith resources almost never go for less than 10cpu

I wouldn't say anyone has it "easy", just different. Galerith, when is the last time it took you 18,000 resources to make a medium suit of armor ? You're comparing apples to pumpkins.

More on topic - I have found that resource pricing is all over the board, but it is getting more difficult to find a good deal. The other night on the Bazaar, someone had 3 lots of 3k steel listed for 3000 per - 1 CPU - that's the lowest I have ever paid for a resource that I didn't mine myself. A resource seller just down the block from me doesn't have anything listed at under 6cpu for the low quality stuff and as high as 30cpu for mid-range stuff - don't expect to see his sign up for too much longer. A guy at the other end of the block sells for between 2.2cpu and 4cpu, but he never has much of anything on his vendor. This is all Wanderhome, BTW, so it just shows it varies HUGELY even on the same server.

I find it interesting that on the one hand people cannot find resources for a price they like yet others insist there is a resource glut....fascinating.

Now part of it could be efficiency of distribution.

Distribution sucks in SWG. It is hard to get products to the interplanetary market when the most efficient system the bazaar has such low limits on items listed and max price. The other option is vendors which are spread all over the place, most of which are not registered due to bugs in that system. That makes it difficult to get good price comparisons. All you need to do is be around the same price as those people close by you and it does not matter if you are 5 times as expensive as the next planet over, that is the next planet over.

Prices would stabalize if we had a more efficient market. The ability to bring resources to a central location and have them bid on by prospective buyers with very short auction times ( 10 - 15mins ) with no limit on capital. Essentially what you need is a resource exchange. That would stabalize prices at some value that is closer to what demand and supply dictate.

If we did have such a system however I would not be suprised if it turned out we actually have a resource shortage given that a lot of people just are not getting what they need because of the efficiency problem.

An idea...

I sell at 2.5 credits per. Have for along time. I mine ore...sometimes i get a rare carb ore..dont care 2.5 per to customers, 3 per on the bazaar if i bother to put up extra ammounts (Under 100k). With my better harvesters, I wont be raising prices anytime soon.

I play on tempest and on the forgotton moon of rori. We see few people. A few weeks ago everyone was selling for nothing 1.5cpu about. There were harvesters on the market for 400 credits, wind at 500. I bought a full set of chiten armor on the market for 5000credits. We had the whole little moon grinding levels and the bottom fell out of the market.

Last night i saw someone list wind harvesters at 2200, energy is selling for 3cpu, aluminum (crappy) for 5cpu, ore 6cpu, and copper (verrrry bad) at 6cpu.

What happened?

I jumped med harvesters from 12 to 15k, solar from 11 to 15k, homes from 8 to 10k. There is a huge burst in harvester buying all of a sudden, i cant keep up so i raised my prices to keep up. I think soon there will be resources everywhere and the price will start to fall. Except that now the resources are going offworld. Sold to people from naboo.

What an economic hell
