Thread: Has anyone noticed their experimented harvestors reverting back to the base values?
Has anyone else noticed their experimented medium mineral harvestors reverting back to the unexperimented base values?
I just placed two experimented medium mineral harvestors with extraction rate 7 and 60k+ hoppers, but when Iopened the harvestor menu the extraction rate was listed as 4 and the hopper size was listed at 50k. I had examined both deeds before placing them and the details listed them as base 7 and 60k+ hoppers.
Has anyone else noticed this problem withtheir experimented medium mineral harvestors, or with any other type of harvestor?
The same thing happened to two otherexperimented mediummineral harvestors Igave to someone in my guild, they were running at an extraction rate of 7 up till today, now they are only running as 4's.
It could be reseting them when the server reboots... dunno, haven't had any of mine down through a reboot lately.
Manthis how can you be so evil? Good? what is that? Just because for someone is good you want that changed? How can you be like that? How it feel to look in the mirror when you wake up in the morning?
Man if you cant be normal stay out of here... Find a hobby or something... And no this isnt a good hobby... Believe me...lol
Crash' Owerride
there was a bug causing this problem, supposedly i thought they had fixed it.
I do understand where marthis is coming from... not everyone thinks this new extraction rate is a good thing.
So you think harvesters reverting back to base stats is good Marthis, well think about this. If one set of items is reverting back to base stats due to a bug in the programing, might not other sets of items be affected by this bug, items such as weapons, armor, meds, droids, etc. Something to think about isn't it

No, nothing to think about there - I'd say GOOD to that too. BECAUSE IT IS A BUG AND WASN'T INTENDED.
Get that through your thick skulls. The devs stated as such here before. So you guys all would rather that things gained by bugs and non-intentions be left alone..heh
Crash dislikes me because I make sure that his posts on the Bria forums claiming otherwise are disputed so he doesn't have free reign to take advantage of his customers.
So, yes, Sony fixing BUGS and NON-INTENDED changes back to what they should be is a GOOD thing. And if YOU don't like it, that's your perogative.
And anyone making experimented harvesters right now and selling them without telling their customers that there IS a chance they may be reverted back to default values is doing a LARGE disservice. But maybe that's just me being ethical. It's one thing if you tell people that they take the chance of reversion for the short-term gain. Some even offer refunds. Crash is the type that marked his stuff up, and was trying to sell to people without telling them there was the chance of reversion - quite the opposite - he tried to state that the devs had said they wouldn't be changing things, and I and others called him on it. So he can dislike me all he wants - I'm just keeping things honest.
Uh read his post again, as well as what was posted earlier. Yes, experimentation WILL be coming and staying. The experimentation on live is NOT the new system. If you were to read the test center, you would see that the recipes for heavy harvesters have even changed.
I never quite got where they said the current rates/builds are staying.... sure, experimentation is coming in (with increased rates), but they've said they'll be changing the schematics at that time, too.
Could be just me, but I'm not terribly confident that any high-rate harvesters I make right now, will stay that way. I've had deeds changed since the big patch, so it wouldn't be the first time.
The only problem I have with the current rates is those architects who sell the newer harvesters without ever warning the customerthat its a possiblity (high possibility, but thats my opinion) that it will be rolled back to the standard rate. I'll feel a lot better when they do make the schematic changes, and I have more of a reason to believe that an improved harvester stays improved.
