as a master architect/tailor/artisan, im seeing more and more crafters hang up their hats and either quit or become combat professions. As this leaves me less compeditors, is also brings me a thought. Architects and tailors specifically havnt much to look up to. Ive seen people wet themselves just because tailors were mentioned in a publish, even though it didnt really do anything. Crafters are being left out of the game more and more, as combat professions take the center stage. I dont know if there really is anything we can do about it, but it needs to change. I dont know why im ranting, i know this has all been posted before, but i feel like something should really be done to show the devs that we mean business (no pun intended

I agree... my wife and I have two chars each I have a jedi and a shiprwight she has a Rifle/Commando and a Tailor/Architect. I have seen patch after patch adressing every complaint on the whiner... erm jedi... forum but no new content at all for the crafters. My personal belief is that they should stop listening to the whole jedi BH thing and just devote an entire update to the crafters.... Give tailors and architects new content... Make De viable again... hell finally fish the POB equipment so it is better then the normal stuff we craft... I think the problem is that crafters in general are the quiet people who are happy to support the community not just leach off it. What we need is for the devs to say enough to the combat classes and their post CU rants and pay some attention to the Crafters...

Yeah i've noticed it myself, as you can see from my sig i have lots of craft accounts, not anymore, 5 out of my six accounts have now been cancelled because of all the crafting issues and mainly because of BE being broken beyond anything i've ever seen before, only 1 line of BE is working at the moment and half of the items on that people just don't want because they're not powerful enough (med crafting line), i've had enough of it and closed all craft accounts and just left my combat account running (for now), what i would like to see is all the armorcraftes and weapon smiths just cancel their accounts and see what happens, either a) New AS and WS will pop up and craft rubbish stuff thus really hurting all the combat profs out there or b) you wouldnt be able to get armor or weapons for love nor money and tons more people would quit, SOE would soon understand the value of the crafting population then.

I totally agree here.

SOE have built one of the deepest crafting systems in just about any MMO ever, and yet they neglect it over a combat system that was apparently broken enough to warrant a full rehaul, and still requires monthly tweaks and fixes.

Last time I checked I wasn't one of nine "iconic" moulds. I was far more original.

I agree too.

For SWG to have longterm health they must give due attention to the crafting and social professions. I'm gonna be honest I find combat very boring in this game. I'm much happier crafting or dancing. But we need new products for our customers to ensure a steady supply.

Clothes seldom wear out in this game, buildings and furniture never die anymore, droids are never killed permanently, all of this means less repeat business. Yes I know folks might scream if their favorite droid is killed but at the least it should require you to take it to a DE who can fix em up or sell ya a new one if the cost of a fix would be too much. I'd like to see combat decay of clothing ( but not normal wear decay). I'd like to see the BE tissue issues of Tailors be fixed as well as the Armorsmith enhancement bugs fixed.

Crafting and Social professions also appeal to women players. A demographic they'd be wise to cater too. It could be an area they could garner more sales in, if they were to give it more attention.

I couldn't agree more. I was one of the many who were very unpleased with the ne combat system, so i changed to crafting (tailor) and I love it!! I am a female player and though it may be stereotypical, I see a lot of women players who love this end of the game and I believe many more wives/girlfriends would get involved with playing with their men if they could do what they love to do!! Decorate, make clothing, etc. The whole reasonI began playing this game in the first place is because my husband spent so much time on it and I wanted to knowwhat was so darn interesting. I got hooked!

I have seen and heard all about this game from its beginning 2 yrs ago when my husband started playing, and Icannot recall anything in the publishes that gave the tailor more clothing designsor similar. How many have the Jedi who is, what maybe 20% or less as I hear it of the client base, had? Recently (i can't remember which publish) the Dancer/Musicianfinally got the new dances / flourishes and the revamp they had been asking for. What was it exactly that they did? They all complained justlike we are here and finally had something done. Why don't we take a page from their book?
