Another archie tells me that once you experiment a heavy to BER13...you should continue to experiment because the efficiency of the extraction though capped at 13 will actually be better. In other words....a 99% experimented BER13 heavy will suck up more than a 78% BER13 heavy.

This is not how I understood it and this goes against every thing I have ever read on the subject.

Comments from the masters please.

Technically, this appears to be true in experimentation. In practice tests, I've never been able to produce a recordable difference. So put the rest of the points in hoppers. A god hopper will provide 2 to 3 days more collection without worrying about checking the harvestor!

I think the discrepency that person is seeing is.. that there is actually a hidden decimal to the % of the Vein. So 50% spot could actually be 49.6-55.5 ( not sure at what exactly the rounding points are.. but that may be why this person sees a difference....

BER ratings on the final harvester are whole numbers. This has been tested by people more than once. A BER 13 is a BER13. There is no 13.1 or 13.5 and all BER 13's will extract the same amount.

Definitely, I've been using harvies since so long and I've never heard of this. At the same ber and the same exact concentration of the ressource <and concentration do seems to have decimals>, you'llget exactly the same amount of ressources, minus the time you lose between 1 harv an another and 2-3 units aren't that important, anyway.

For sure the vein has hidden precision (i.e., an extra decimal point or two). Using factory-made harvs with the same serial number, Iusually see variations in extraction ratefrom one harvester to an adjacent identical harvester.
