At least give us an XP bonus for crit failures or something!

Next publish , when you crit fail on any "installation" schematic, you will not loose the materials.

Hang in there Mate

If that is going to be the case...whats the point of having CF's for us then???

You ever double crit-failed on two guild halls yet Ikoroo?

Well, the occassional critical wipe-out is a small price to pay for the sheer lack of clicking involved, compared to something like Chef or Tailor. Anyway, go up Furniture first before you start on huge items; +Assembly helps prevent this sort of thing happening.

Yeah I know, it's just frustrating to see 50k resources down the drain like that. And there's something wrong when a master architect and novice get the same rate of crit fails.

Erillion, i thought they took that ability out?

On harvesters, this won't work, or you'd be silly to use it..

anyway, thought they took this crit fail bypass out...Anyone confirm, deny?

Yes I know about that macro. Problem is, sometimes the materials don't stay in the hopper after the CF.

This is coming from the Test Center patch notes for the next publish at this thread:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=TestCenter&message.id=40610#M40610

Here's what TH said:

"Fixed crit fails when crafting installations preventing you from trying to assemble the ingredients again.

The ingredients should not be destroyed, and you should be able to click on the assemble button again to try and assemble them."

Of course, things may change by the time the publish actually goes live..

Don't get me wrong I hate the CF's as much as anyone, if they are making it so you don't lose your sources, aside from the workaround that exists now, I'm assuming they mean you will be able to experiment on the with the same materials after the next update. Because you don't have to lose them now.

Anyways to answer the question I have not CF'ed on any PA halls, I don't make them unless some one asks, I'm doing pretty well right now with just making factories and harvesters.

Oddly enough I didn't do the furniture tree first, I did it last, and I have much much much harder a time with cf's now than I was when I was 0.4.4.4

Didn't mean to single you out Ikoroo

I'm just a bit frustratedwith the logic behind failure rates in crafting. Why a master with 950+ materials can double-crit frequently, while a novice (when I was one) with 50+ materials can go for a few days without a crit-fail assembly, is just plain weird.

Granted, the complexity of items craftable at master level is higher, not sure if that alone (if it's even factored in at all) should supercede +skill bonuses and resource quality.
