Do these actually illuminate at all, and if so, how?

They are supposed to, but at the moment they are bugged. Try using Torches to light up your house.

They have been bugged since launch. So is the Master armoire. Guess they don't rank very high on the debuggers' list.

I guess not. I really don't want to use torches because that just seems kind of trashy, you know? Imagine someone coming into your r/l home and seeing burning torches instead of electric lights. Or even better, imagine your home owner's insurance finding you lighting your home with torches!
